It says "When you wield a dagger, you gain a +1 bonus to attack rolls." Does this mean that if I wield a dagger in my offhand, that I can get +1 attacks with my crossbow in my main hand. That comment says nothing about having to make the attack with the dagger.
Also, subtle weapon has a property of deal extra damage equal to the weapon enhancement bonus when attacking with combat advantage.
So again, if I have a +2 subtle dagger in my offhand, do I get +1 to hit and +2 damage while shooting my crossbow?
Thanks.

'Wield' means 'to use the weapon as part of the attack'. You don't get a +1 to hit with your hand crossbow by holding a dagger in your other hand.

I always thought "wield" meant "hold the weapon in a way that you could attack with it".
OTOH, I think there is specifically a FAQ entry that agrees with you Salla. It just breaks the term wield for everything else in the game other than Rogue Weapon Talent.

That's what the Swordmage thinks too....

This was my understanding as well. Has this changed?

As far as RWT goes, you have to actually use the dagger to gain the bonus.

The only reference I know of for "wield" is the FAQ about Rogue Weapon Talent, which says that wield means "to attack with".
That completely contradicts the apparent intent for just about every other use of it, which *appears* to match my original statement.
{Personally this fits in with my personal opinion that you need to take FAQ with a grain of salt, even though I don't have a particular stake in this argument. }

To interpret it any other way for RWT though, is completely overpowered. Giving a +1 to attack with any weapon as long as you're holding a dagger in your offhand. They should reword it to say, for the purposes of rogue weapon talent, "wield" means "to attack with".

Agreed, given the apparent intent of the word wield elsewhere.

also, on the same note...
Daggermaster sorcerers do not get the 18-20 crit range, as the dagger is not being used for the attack, but as an implement for the attack.
Well, they shouldn't.
I want the server to stop rolling a d20 every time I return to a bookmarked page (seems like I am sent to the intro page every time it comes up '1'). I want the 'Recent Topic' and 'Most Viewed Topic' sidebars to be customizable so that I, a D&D player, don't have to be spammed about M:tG. I want a thread subscription page that isn't hidden in preferences and tells me when subscribed threads have new content. I want to be able to set a background that doesn't just sit behind the blinding white I'm trying to get rid of. I want edited posts to indicate that they were edited, and when, to prevent confusion and chicanery. I want to be able to look back at previous posts in the thread while I'm writing my reply. I want a default of single line break posts back. (i.e. [DIV] instead of [P] in editor) I want to lose the burning pink eyesores on every thread I've ever glanced at. I want the 'most recent post' to tell me the post's title, not just the poster. I want the 'most recent post' to be specific to the forum, not category. I want to be able to specify the source of a quote myself. I want the old, varied, non-generic smileys back. I want the mouseover thread previews back.
