Dungeon 172 Clash of Steel by Jennifer Clarke Wilkes "Clash of Steel" sends the adventurers to the city of Barrinsgate, which was once founded by allied bandit kings. Something has stirred up the city's gangs, and it's up to the PCs to establish order. Talk about this Adventure here. * - The PDF link in the article does not work right now. Link seems to be broken. Using Firefox 3 and I get an IE style 404 message... Strange.

Thanks for the heads-up. I'll get the higher-ups to fix the link. Suggest trying again this afternoon.

Note that the file IS there, the link just has a "typo" in it - the path goes to a folder for issue 171 instead of 172. Change the 171 to 172 and voila!

It drives me absolutely bonkers that all of these adventures have these really neat tactical maps (I especially LOVE the maps on this adventure), but the only person who will ever see them is the DM. Can't be get some sort of printable version of these maps without the DM notes on them? The players really need to be able to appreciate the scenery, same as the DM. Perhaps the last several pages of each adventure could be the maps, without DM notes, broken up into 8x10 sections for easy printing and mounting?

The Dungeon Magazine Map Galleries all come with untagged map versions.
Its only the published hardcover books and adventures that have lacked untagged versions.

I see that now. You still can't print them out and use them as battle maps, but it's still nice. It particularly drove me nuts during Keep on the Shadowfell. You'd have these huge, sprawling maps that they loved, then for the next encounter, it's back to the grid paper. It was disjointing.
Anyway. The point was: I LOVE the maps in this adventure. I think they are beautifully done and designed.

I keep getting error messages when using Google Chrome and IE. Finally snagged a copy thanks to AsmodeusLore's link. I'm also getting errors on the Brother's Grey. Anyone else? Anyone have a working link? . Why some links aren't working, any ideas? Is there a work-around I should be aware of? Thanks. Edit: Nevermind about the Brothers Gray link; finally snagged a copy by going back through the Content Calendar. Still, I'm curious: Are the links 'dead' when they are initially posted (only to be fixed later)?

The 'download' button in the article has been corrected, so everything should be good on this article now.
Regarding Brothers Grey, where is the broken link you speak of?
