Good call! That was exactly it. Sorry for wasting your time with this. And really, this software is awesome. I'm really happy with it.

One other question if you don't mind. Windows decided to reboot to autoinstall updates while I had been away from the computer for a minute. I had Masterplan open at the time, with two days worth of adventure building done. When the computer restarted, I tried firing up Masterplanm and loading the project, but it says that there is an error and Masterplan has to load a backup version which has none of the work I've done the past couple days. Obviously this isn't a bug, and I don't hold out a lot of hope, but is there any way I can recover the work that you know of? I still have the file, and here is the log file contents:

Okay, somehow I got lucky and Windows was able to access a copy that only lost the last encounter I was building (the above mentioned troll one) which didn't really have any components in it anyway. I'll leave the above just in case the data may be useful to you Devereaux, but I don't need any help. Thanks!

Hi,
I'm giving a try to masterplan, it seems to be really good. Problem is it does not save downloaded data. Every time I run it, it tells me that library is empty. Again i log into DDI, it downloads the data but again it is not saved when I close it.
I've checked MP's directory, no file is created or updated when downloading. Is this normal?

No this is not normal. Are you running Masterplan from your hard drive, or from a flash drive perhaps? Masterplan needs to be able to create library files, if it doesn't have permission to create files this might explain your problem.

Also Masterplan should create a Log folder when it runs; check this for files containing error messages.

I'm running from HD, but I suspect windows 7 is involved. I've unzipped the file into the "Program files x86/Masterplan" dir. But when I run it, no file is created.

Got it, I've moved the folder on the desktop and after running it the dir populated with other directories and logs. Still I don't know why it didn't work when in the program files folder.

Windows 7 should be fine.

After you run Masterplan you should have a Libraries folder and a Log folder at least. If neither of these are present, then Masterplan isn't able to create files on your hard drive. Make sure you're running it with full permissions (you might need to unblock the Masterplan program - right-click on it and select Properties).

Windows 7 is restrictive when It comes to allowing software in the programfiles directory writing new files.

Is there any hope to get som html buttons in encloycopedia ? I would love to have a way to implement images, atleast from the attachments, in there. I know it is possible to add trough html tags, but that is a chore to use.

And perhaps a way to group the files in there in som way ? Maybe a more wiki-like way with sub categories or something, with everything not on one page ?

You can indeed specify categories for encyclopedia entries.

Oh, I know that, I was thinking more of a main site with categoies where you can go deeper into different things. More akin to what a folder strucure looks like... With several hundred items on on pageit looks a bit messy.

Still... HTML buttons is a bit more important to me
