I don't want to tread over all ground. Also I really don't see my character being able to hold a sword. I was going Warlock MC initially but GM advised against it since we have a Warlock in the party. He might end up changing class though, if he does I might grab it then.
Where can I find the new cantrips?
Also, I'm looking to steer things in a more Alchemisty direction, how would I go about that? Maybe replace one of the MC things with one for Alchemisty stuff? Artficer could be neat too(none of the PPs suited my character though).
Good news, you don't have to hold a sword to MC Swordmage.
No but it's a bit useless without it...

I decided to reflavour Resourecful Magician to make it a bit more Bardy - community.wizards.com/go/thread/view/758...No mechanical changes, but may swap out one of the Wizard cantrips for Alchemy, since as a feat ti's underpowered.

Yeah, there might be ways of making it workable though. Making the cost negligable for example.

Refluffing something is all well and good. But making any changes (like replacing a Wizard cantrip as an option with a bonus feat) needs to be done with your DMs approval. You might want to bounce the refluffing off of your DM as well, simply because he/she might have some ideas to help you out in this regard.

Yeah, we were just talking about it the last couple of days. He seems to like the idea of reskinning things now the character builder allows it. Mostly to force our Monk not to have evil sounding powers. I just need to figure out what to ask for. The alchemist thing fits my character, it's just a shame it's so useless. Same with the witch stuff.

Not if you're a Resourceful Magician, which is the topic under discussion.

With regard to multiclassing: Paladin
Some really good feats, utilities and attack powers here. Some of those are just as suitable for your natural Leader and Controller roles as the Paladin's natural Defender role. A lot of the Paladin's powers are Charisma-based; the ones that are Strength-based can still be taken care of with Combat Virtuoso. Just remember that some of the powers use WIS to determine the rider, so unless you're the rare Prescient who mixes it up in melee, be wary. You get holy symbol proficiency here as well. Tiefling Fake Skalds should MC here for Wrath of the Crimson Legion.
Entry feats:
Soldier of the Faith (PHB): The most appropriate entry feat for you, and not too much of a stretch to obtain. Just make sure you have STR 13 (CHA 13 goes without saying for you). You get a per-encounter use of Divine Challenge, and you can train any of the Paladin's class skills, too.
A tiefling — fake skald, implement-only cunning bard, or whatever — who wants to take Wrath of the Crimson Legion is probably doing so because they think they need a decent MBA but their STR isn't anything to write home about (and may be a complete dump stat). So it doesn't make much sense to me to recommend an MC feat that requires STR 13. It would be better to include Blackguard here, if only because the entry feat (Walker of the Dark Path) has no such prereq. You count as a Paladin so you are still eligible for WotCL as well as all of the other Paladin feats and powers. You get training in a Blackguard skill (Arcana [wasted], Athletics, Bluff, Endurance, History, Intimidate, Religion, or Thievery), and 1/encounter you can deal an extra ChaMod damage with a weapon attack against an enemy granting CA to you. You also get a daily minor action utility power, Shroud of Shadow, which gives you partial concealment until EoNT plus 5/10/15 temp HP. Going MC Blackguard would appear to be superior than MC Paladin for a tiefling who wants a CHA-based MBA. On the other hand, either path requires two feats to accomplish. If you've already taken a Superior Implement, an appropriate Expertise feat, Imperious Majesty (tiefling only, use CHA for initiative), Improved Defenses, and Advantage of Cunning, you'll be in Paragon before you can get both MC Paladin/Blackguard and WotCL. So I would have to wonder whether this is useful at all.

Yeah, good call on the Blackguard entry feat. It's easily the preferred one for Bards who don't want to boost their STR. So I added it.
That said, Tieflings can be either Cunning or Valorous thanks to a choice of either INT or CON as their secondary. If they go Valor, they'll likely want a 13 STR to get scale, anyway, so in their case, they'll still want to consider Soldier of the Faith for off-tanking.
As for feat space: Improved Defenses can be put off until early Paragon without too much fuss, freeing you up to take WotCL in Heroic.
It's only really worth getting the full MBA if you're going to play with the Dimensional Step and Flash of Distraction line of powers, but those are good enough powers to make that worth considering. (Especially if you can get off-standard MBAs reliably, such as with the Guardian theme from the start, Strikebacks or Backlash Tattoo by late-Heroic/early-Paragon, and Note of Aggression in Epic.)
D&DN Paladin: Half-Fighter, half-Cleric, all useless. D&DN Ranger: Third-Fighter, third-Rogue, third-Druid, all useless. With one interesting concept that has its execution botched. My 4e Character Op work:Character guides
