As For paragon paths: Evermeet warlock (warlock PP) allows you to teleport adjacent allies whenever you teleport at the lvl 16. You also are invisible to anyone you teleport away from Lifesinger: Bonus to ally skill checks and reroll missed attacks vs will. Edit: Cunning prevaricator - frequent grants combat advantage and invisibility. here is an example: ==== ====== Created Using Wizards of the Coast D&D Character Builder ====== level 11 Sun Elf (Eladrin), Bard, Cunning Prevaricator Bardic Virtue Option: Virtue of Cunning Inherent Bonuses Auspicious Birth (Auspicious Birth Benefit) Theme: Iliyanbruen Guardian FINAL ABILITY SCORES STR 11, CON 12, DEX 11, INT 19, WIS 9, CHA 23 STARTING ABILITY SCORES STR 10, CON 11, DEX 10, INT 14, WIS 8, CHA 18 AC: 25 Fort: 18 Ref: 23 Will: 25 HP: 85 Surges: 8 Surge Value: 21 TRAINED SKILLS Arcana +16, Bluff +16, Diplomacy +16, History +18, Religion +14, Streetwise +16 UNTRAINED SKILLS Acrobatics +6, Athletics +6, Dungeoneering +5, Endurance +7, Heal +5, Insight +5, Intimidate +12, Nature +7, Perception +5, Stealth +6, Thievery +6 POWERS Basic Attack: Melee Basic Attack Basic Attack: Ranged Basic Attack Eladrin Racial Power: Fey Step Bard Feature: Majestic Word Bard Feature: Words of Friendship Bard Attack 1: Staggering Note Bard Attack 1: Vicious Mockery Bard Attack 1: Blunder Bard Attack 1: Sprightly Rhythm Iliyanbruen Guardian Utility 2: Blink Away Bard Utility 2: Moment of Escape Bard Attack 3: Echoing Weapon Bard Attack 5: Compulsion Bard Attack 7: Prescient Warning Bard Attack 9: Counterpoint Bard Utility 10: Illusory Erasure Cunning Prevaricator Attack 11: Lying Lights FEATS Level 1: Ritual Caster Level 1: Superior Implement Training (Accurate orb) Level 2: Orb Expertise Level 4: Distant Advantage Level 6: Armor Proficiency: Ring Mail Level 8: Bardic Wayfarer Level 10: Advantage of Cunning Level 11: Improved Cunning ITEMS Ritual Book Traveler's Chant Simbul's Conversion Accurate orb of Forceful Magic +2 x1 Eladrin Ring Mail +2 x1 Cloak of Translocation +2 x1 Light Shield x1 ====== End ======

Wanted to note that the Bard(Skald) allows a player to use a different primary stat than Charisma and still manage a pretty solid build. I'm using a Dex-based RBA build to set of the aura effects and still do decent damage. Build: Spoiler:

Melee Training (PHB2): Mostly for Fake Skalds, or anyone looking to use the basic attack-triggered powers, who aren't Eladrins, Tieflings or Paragon Tier Half-Elves. Which I don't recommend as enthusiastically, but if you want to head down that route, this one is essential for you. Of course, it's not a bad choice for melee-focused Bard builds in general.
I'm new to this game and have a question about this. Why wouldn't an Eladrin need this feat? Am I missing some other feat or perk they get that can do the same thing? I'm thinking of creating an Eladrin bard with a melee weapon, probably a staff, and figured it would be good with a decent basic melee attack.

An Eladrin looking to use the BA-triggered powers would MC to Swordmage, take Intelligent Blademaster and Eladrin Swordmage Advance, the former handling the stat change, and the latter giving them another attack.

The most potent part of that, is that they could trigger some of the Skald powers off of Fey Step, and thus enable and do damge not with their standard action, which is pretty cool.

Since true Skalds don't need to select their daily powers ahead of time how would Master of Story and Song mix with the 21st level Archmage feature?

Uh, you still need to pick your daily powers as normal when you level up. Master of Story and Song just allows you to select one daily power that you can use in place of one of your other selections at any time. I don't know the Archmage wording off-hand, so I don't know if it interacts in any special way with MSS, but you should be able to use your normal daily powers with it.

Master of Story and Song says: You gain two 1st-level bard daily attack powers of your choice, but each day you can use only one bard daily attack power. When you gain a bard daily attack power at 5th level, you can use two bard daily attack powers per day, but no more than one of a particular level. Similarly, after you gain a bard daily attack power at 9th level, you can use three bard daily attack powers per day, but still no more than one of a particular level. At level 15, 19, 25, and 29, you gain a bard daily attack power of your level or lower without having to replace a power, but the number that you can use per day remains at three.
Spell Recall says: At the beginning of each day, choose one daily attack spell that you know (and have prepared today, if you prepare spells). You can use that spell two times that day, rather than only once.
My questions are if; A) the Skald's feature prevents me from using Spell Recall at all?; B) if not, would Spell Recall allow me to use my selected daily even if I use the other three normal uses on different dailies?

A) No. B) Uncertain on the RAW, but my DM gut instinct says you'd have to be able to meet the 'rather than only once' clause, IE, one of the normal uses would have to be the daily you want to double up on. Probably best just to run it past your DM.
Spell Recall was written long before the Mage and Skald, when replacing lower level powers was the only way to go.

Anyone ranked Multiclass Paragon Paths?
I kind of wanted Legendary Witch(reskinned to work without the silly restriction) for the flavour and being able to fly but apparently it's a bit ****. Battleweaver was another option for reskinning. My Bard is an actress so I thought having powers that involve playing with the battlefield like a stage could be cool.
Nothing fully suits my character at the moment and I'm not sure what to do.
The character is human(but with a half Eladrin background we haven't worked in mechanically yet, this would be about the time to do so), Cunning Bard build with wizard multiclass and Order Adept theme so a bit of a smartypants, and has a bit of a glam rock thing going on, crazy hair and colourful outifts. "Fabulous" is an apt word. Classy but not posh but can do the posh thing(came in handy when captured by Eladrin). Lots of diplomacy as bards tend to. Good with disguises. Mother was a potion-brewing witch and father a lively fighter. Focues quite a bit on healing, a cheery character but a bit too punky to fit into Life Singer maybe(which I don't think would work well for our party).
There's a lot of "good" choices but nothing jumps out at me. I'm not beyond taking a multiclass feat outside of what I have but none of the options looked great to me, disappointed with multiclassing.
I'd like to do something really interesting, but I don't want it to be mechanically weak either, though I'm willing to sacrifice some strength for fun factor.
