Please excuse if this has been asked, but I couldn't find in any searches.
I have an eladrin assaultmage about to hit paragon. There are a few paths that seem enticing, but the answer to this question could make up my mind.
I want to know if I hit someone with the ensorcelled mind power and also have them marked by the aegis of assault, would that monster attacking his ally trigger my aegis?
To clarify, this is the ideal turn:
Std action: hit monster 1 with ensorcelled mind
Move: adjacent to monster 2
Minor: mark monster 1 (even though it CANNOT attack me
) who is now hopefully within reach of monster 2
During monsters' turn: monster 2 attacks me, causing charmed monster#1 to attack #2 and then triggering my aegis allowing me to teleport and attack monster 1.
Myself and at least one other member of my group seem to think this is allowable because the ensorcelled mind power says nothing about 'dominating' the target or any similar keyword.
I've also considered taking double aegis to also mark monster2 to ensure that he attacks me
.
