It's mostly a matter of principal. I provide it for free, but I want to remain control over my property, even if I am giving it out to anyone and everyone who passes by.

I understand that you feel hurt by what these people have done to you; but you have created some great things. If you do not share them with the world, don't you feel like you spent all that time wasted?
I really liked a lot of the classes you made, and I wish I had saved them before you took them off.

It wasn't even my feelings, but a matter of principle. I'm perfectly willing to provide thsde for free, if you heed my two simple requests; don't host them elsehwere or link directly to them, and feel free to share your experiences with them.
I do feel like I've wasted my time. However, I'm looking into making them accessible again. Just not entirely sure how I intend to do it yet.

well in FF6s defense its basically like you having a party and someone asking to come in and use the phone. You go to the bathroom and the next thing you know not only are they using your phone but they've got your beer and pizza, and on top of that you can hear someone on the other end speakin' japanese and you ask who it is, and they are like, oh its my gf in tokyo. And then the next day your wallets missing and you go to talk to them and they are like I don't know what your talkin' about, and you can see it on their coffee table. And then their like, oh that's your wallet, my bad. Seriously I wouldn't have a problem with it, but that doesn't mean he won't, if the man said don't touch it, then don't touch it...its just a respect thing...now hurry up and put it on there so I can check it out.. . . . . plz

Unless FF6 was planning to sell this stuff later, than people downloading his stuff does not deny him that type of resource.
What FF6 seems to be upset about to me is the loss of 1) creative control, and 2) due credit for his works.

I do feel like I've wasted my time. However, I'm looking into making them accessible again. Just not entirely sure how I intend to do it yet. This could be solved by posting his stuff in the future as watermarked pdf's. A watermark of other note in the pdf would keep his name attached to it, and also make it more difficult to edit his work.
FF6, would this be something you would consider as a compromise? Regardless of the internet community you post on, if you post something good, people are going to want to show their friends.

I would. Unfortunately, I don't currently have the capability to produce any PDFs, much less watermarked ones at the moment.
Has slowed down my hopes of putting them back online, along with something new I'm working on.

Open Office was what I was using, though I don't know if it can produce watermarked PDFs. Unfortunately, my laptop died, and as far as I can tell, Open Office is a no go on this hunk of junk PC I'm stuck using until I can get a replacement.
