Combat could still be linked to your maximum, or we could devise a new combat system. One thing to consider is that we could add a combat system with a random element, using an online dice roller. It would make combat a more random thing.

I rather like that idea, shadow. It would be less flat numbers and be more interesting. Divinity can have it's randomness as well.

He was a player early in the game. Last post was turn 15, so about 4 months ago.

I suppose that would look weird to a newer player

Sorry about the abrupt entry. I was playing LoC way back in it's earlier stages.

The system does need some changing, and the dropping of the decaying pp rule is a plus. But we need to figger something out for how to cap it. Imagine if a player stopped playing for a month and then came back and took over existence...

I'm interested in this "tech" idea. Kinda like dividing a number into it's factors, but in reverse.

Sort of like a talent tree in WoW (for those that play), or a root system. If you choose a certain type of progression, you can gain new forms of technology in the same vein while losing the opportunity to gain others.

So, what are we going to do now? Start over or continue?/

For the moment, I'm assuming we continue as we have been. We can work out and discuss the rest while we continue.
