Mara, unless you're attacking my Exarch, there are no gates on any other colony of the Children, the artifact creates a temporary gate and then dissapears... they get back via rituals.

When one of the Colonies did not check in for its monthly status report, Chukwa traveled to where it most likely was... the Yogloids, being mostly mindless, made it easy to extrapolate their most likely position based on where they had been the last month.

When the Children found the dead Yogloid, they were, needless to say, horrified. Their parents and grandparents had fled the surface below to avoid having to deal with this same sort of destruction, and yet here it was once more. Several of the older Children, the first wave of refugees from the surface, could not even bear to look, remembering too well the destruction of their homes long ago.

Finally, several Children left Diaspora and traveled to the surface of the Yogloid. There, they gathered up what they could from the surface, trying to salvage something, anything, from this devastation. It was there that they found the body of an Ae-Sylvani, thrown from his ship and killed upon impact with the surface.

With a mighty roar of fury, Chukwa began heading towards the fortress city of the Ae-Sylvani, intent on destroying it. As they approached though, one of the village elders, an old Azoran with grey hair and cataract-filled eyes, reached the Zaratan's head, and asked to speak to the Ae-Sylvani before anything else occured. He gave the Zaratan a message to relay to the Ae-Sylvani.

Chukwa sent his voice through the Aether:

"AE-SYLVANI. I AM CHUKWA, EXARCH OF NIXIS. I COME BEARING A MESSAGE FROM THOSE WHOM YOU HAVE ATTACKED. WE ARE THE CHILDREN OF THE AETHER. WE SEEK NO QUARREL WITH YOU, YET YOU ATTACK US, WE WHO HAVE FLED THE SURFACE FOR THIS VERY PURPOSE. COME OUT AND SPEAK WITH US, THAT WE MAY SOLVE OUR MISCOMMUNICATION."

The Old man waited on Chukwa's head for a response.

(Massive, take this to MS?)

Meanwhile, the dead Yogloid began falling slowly towards the Azure Aegis, slowly picking up speed as it went.

The Staff of Earth grew warm once again in Convincer's hands, and the Gnome looked at it, slightly concerned. He could have sworn that he had heard a sinister chuckle the moment it had flared hot...

1PP (from Convincer): Guide Populace (lesser): Gnomes resettle the Humite Lands (forgot to put this in last post)
1PP: from Staff of Earth: Mold Land (lesser): More of Old Terena is excavated, and a hard layer of earth and stone forms along the top of the hill, providing structural support for the city as more and more of the earth beneath it is removed. Roughly half the old City is uncovered now.

Veros shrugged. "The message was sent to request my bauble back. When you did not respond, I grew concerned that something may have happened to you in my absence. So here I am, come to make sure you are safe."

"I am fine. I simply chose not to respond, because I am very angry with you. You put me through a lot, made me do stuff I don't like to do, made me worry about you. And the first thing you get back is ask me about is a stupid toy?"

Mara crossed her arms gave a huff.

He bowed his head. "I apologize, Mara. If you are angry with me, I shall remove myself from here. I see not need to continue to bother you."

He considered it for a moment. "I was gone a while. You must have returned it to him. Thank you, daughter. Do you have any need of me before I depart?"

"Now that they have rebuilt their nation, I must ensure that it does not go to waste..."

Shurka dropped a seed into the earth. This seed did not grow a tree, but many red vines that thrived beneath the ground. The vines could easily tear flesh of the most powerful beings. But since they were uneeded at the moment, they lay dormant, ready to strike any beings that would cause harm to the Terenean states.

Eorna, for the first time ever, bore fruit. The deep-orange, bulbous fruits were not disturbed by the people, as they were considered sacred. Like the vines that were just created, their purpose would be revealed if Terena were ever attacked. Each fruit contained large amount of explosive force that could harm even the most defended creatures. The fruits would also regrow in around an hour if one were to be removed.

I didn't see that post. I looked back 5 pages in MS and I still couldn't find it. Could you direct me to it?

That would be because I posted the start of it here, and was hoping to move it there. Technically, I sent invitations to the Iron State, the elven nation, as well as Naru (former defense coalition) as well, but I'm not expecting them to come.

Representatives from Meribia and Sivera came together in a small outpost built between Meribia and Terena during the war. Beginning discussions with each other, they arranged for messages to all the nations of the continent, the newly reborn nations of Terena and Alexandria alike, asking that their rulers, or at very least representatives, come to meet with them, to discuss the future.

Mostly forgotten by the world around them, the city of Babble, nestled in and amongst the trees to the east of the Humite lands, prospered, growing larger and spinning off several more smaller towns.

The gnomes happily greeted the Azorans who visited them, welcoming them on their way towards New Terena. Many of the Bard families of the Gnomes recalled the time their ancestors had traveled to visit the Azorans, and several of the Azoran soldiers recalled similar stories told by their forebears. The Azorans shared stories of their voyages across the ocean to reach the continent, and the gnomes laughed and gasped at the tales of heroism and danger. Several gnomes, mostly the Hammers and Nails, asked more pointed questions to the Azorans, and by the end of the night, had figured out, basically, how the Azorans were able to create ships to travel across the waters.

The work in the Library had nearly finished when Nixis appeared before the scholars.

"My Chosen, thank you for undergoing this task. I know it has been many generations of your time, but your task is nearly finished. The Library is nearly ready for its next phase, where you will all still be needed, but the work of you and your forebears will not go unappreciated. "

Snapping his fingers, Nixis summoned the Astral Shard to himself, and used its raw energies of creation to create a special connection from the Library to a particular doorway in the Loremaster's keep, which had previously gone to a storage room. Now, any Loremaster that stepped through it would find himself here, stepping out of the Prime Portal on the uppermost floor of the Library. Nixis also willed into being a keyhole in the stone of the archway, etched above and below with the words 'Loremaster's Keep'. He also created two golden keys, one for this lock, and one for the door in the keep. If either side were locked, the portal would not function. His favored could, of course, still make their way too and from the Library via their portal stones, but general access would be limited.

Nixis dropped one of the keys into the hands of one of the three leaders of the scholars, and locked the door behind him as he traveled into the Keep. Once there, he found the study of the head Loremaster, and hid the key under a spell of invisibility, one that was set to expire in one month's time. He then wrote a note to the Loremaster, letters flowing off his own body to form the words on the page.

Hail,
Long ago, I swore to thank the Loremasters for their work in gathering the knowledge that gave me birth. I do so now. In one month's time, a key will appear in this room that you have never seen before. Travel to the east-most storage closet two floors below you and use the key on the lock. My Library awaits you... a haven of knowledge safe from the predations of this world.

I do have one request. Please respect those who have devoted their lives to filling the Library with information. Do not cast them out, for there are more than a few ways into the Library.

Nixis, God of Stories.

Among the lesser members of the Circle, a new hobby arose, where one would imbibe different types of drugs: Noth, gNoth, Madness, Zip, even the forbidden Angel's Draught, and attempt to use the benefits of the drugs to do feats of great strength and daring. Most such experimenters failed, falling to their doom after trying to jump between buildings with Zip was a common way to go.

Others, however, learned to harness the power of the drugs in a facinating way. By walking the thin line between addiction and control, they found that they could use the drugs to do things never thought believable. The simplest charge, under the influence of Zip, became a powerful blow. The feelings of mind-reading given off by gNoth became dangerous psychic abilities that could lay guards flat in seconds. And for those strong enough, and stupid enough, to try and tame Angel's Draught, the boost to the force of their blows was enough to scare the strongest minotaur.
