Chroma frowned in thought. "I suppose he wouldn't have... what we need, is something that can not just say, but DO something about this sort of thing... another power to help free people who aren't having fun, and are bullied by those higher than them..." The child god slumped slightly. "But I wouldn't even know where to begin to make something like that... I don't have the knowledge to do it."

The child god rubbed his chin, still lost in thought. "I wonder... that Mr Veros sent me a note on piece of paper with scribbley things on it. Would there be any more around anywhere on this Outer World place?"

OOC Show

I'm angling towards taking him to the Loremaster's Keep, but I'm not sure if Eon knows about it or not..

Kiptar listened to the message from Hensen.

"Finally..."

It turned, transporting back into Mechanus, and began to sketch plans. He wasn't sure where they were going, but vague ideas had been floating around in the back of his head. Here, maybe they could come together.

(I did post that the humites came back from the Feywyld. It was a while back. But everyone is acting like they aren't there, so I'll just post as if they just came back.)

Shurka responded to Veros before he broke the veil.

Veros Show
"I accept your offer. This could possibly be the only alliance that actually means anything. The others just seem like schemes for power."

With Nixis' power, Shurka set off toward Terena. Rebuilding had already started, but Shurka still wanted the people to know his will. As the re-construction of Terena was near an end, the former nation was divided into three different states. All were loyal to eachother, but had different methods of ruling.

New Terena was the largest of the states. It retained the old democracy that Terena had before the giants had invaded. It allowed all people (with the exception of giants) to enter their walls. The worship of any god is allowed in the city, although Shurka has the most worshippers in the city. Research in this town prospered, with the new ideas of many people contributing to advances in technology. It's banner is two adjacent squares with a staff in one, and a book in the other

The smallest state is the Theocracy of Menior. While any race is welcome here, they must worship Shurka, which is why most of the inhabitants are humites. A council of seven rules Menior which chooses replacements if one should die or resign. The arts flourish in Menior, with ornate statues being seen all over, and music being heard in every street. The banner of Menior is the symbol of Shurka: A golden eye with a cross for a pupil.

The last state is Rusten. The military in this state is larger than the other two states. The military essentially controls the politics of this state, much like Old Terena's Defense Coalition. As with the other two states, any race is allowed inside of Rusten. This was the location that the Meribians had initially started the reconstruction, so the architecture is of a much different style than the other two states. Rusten also has a large number of air ships, built for both trade and transportation. The banner of Rusten is a shield with the design of a sword and axe crossing eachother.

Meanwhile, in Azora, a mountain grew on the eastern half of the island. This mountain attracted large amounts of Phoenix's to it, and the Phoenix's set up nests on the mountain, gaining the name Flamewing Peak. The feather of a Phoenix is nearly priceless, so many adventurers brave the peak in search of shed Phoenix feathers.

----

Eon frowned and said, "I'm not sure. I haven't ever left Azora really... Hang on, can I do something really quick? Follow me if you like..."

Eon walked towards a small hovel at the outskirts of town. After all the years, it was still here...

Eon said, "At first, I wasn't sure, but now I'm sure... this is the village I lived in before I entered exarchhood."

Hensen magic saturated the Lake of Fire and soon it begun warping new generations of Drahkorn, at first some was born without a soul, as the blood of the changer of ways begun mutating the very essence of the lake. But after a while its "purity" was restored and new Drahkorn begun to born, carrying the souls of those who worship the Bronze Pantheon, and linking the new generation to the Changer of Ways...

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Meanwhile in the Free Nation a group of arcane researchers, necromancers, artificers or just philosophers, decided to combine their resources and create a new city state.

They only had one thing in common, a strong desire to unveil the misteries of creation, no matter the cost. Usually this lust for knowledge was satisfied with forbidden researches and practices that many in the world will consider foul.
Knowing that the Free Nations have no limit, religious or moral, to research they decided to build there a place where they can enjoy their activities without being disturbed by the outsiders.

The found a large natural cave under one of Bloodmyst islands and there, supported by money from Novost and Freedomguard, they build an underground city, filled with arcane libraries, laboratories, workshops and even tranquil gardens where the researchers can rest or share their discoveries. So the new city state of Qar'Dask was born...

The squishy was moving off somewhere... and Chroma was going to follow him, he really was. But first, he had something else to do real quick... he'd notice in passing that these shiny people seemed to like beating at eachother with weapons, whether they be swords or long sticks while on those horses of theirs. It seemed to be fun for them, if a different kind of fun than the child god was used to, but after seeing how they treated the peasants, the god of chaos was feeling something he'd never felt before... spite, perhaps? Righteous rage? Whatever the case, he had an idea that would make those tournaments of theirs a little more fun, and maybe put the shiny people in their place...

Seeing as he was still invisible in the town, the god of chaos quickly ran into a nearby blacksmiths, which thankfully was empty. But the armor of knights who'd had their armour put in to be repaired, of store armor designed for the new knight or fool hardy adventurer was still there in abundance, much to the child gods glee. Grabbing up as much of it was possible (which, since he was a god, was all of it), Chroma then teleported himself and the armour outside the town, in a place where hopefully no-one would see him unleash his power. Gathering up his energy, the child god threw the suits of armour onto the ground before him, before blasting them with a coloured ray of light.

The results were... interesting. The armour stood up all by itself, or so it seemed. But in truth, it was armour no more. It was a steel like carapace for something a little more sinister, though neither good nor evil. Simply a craver of competiton. The aberrant creatures had a skin of metal, barring of course the visor which couod be lifted to reveal the fleshy insectoid face of the knightmares. They preffered not to do so however, never lowering their visor and never speaking, for they had no vocal chords to speak of. These creatures would however forever be a bane and boon for Azoria, wandering the land in search of tournaments to enter, strong looking travellers to challenge to honourable combat, and generally competiton and conflict that wasn't too far beneath or above them. Becoming the quintessencal rogue knight, so to speak, as unless you opened it's visor or caused enough damage to make it bless it's green blood and reveal that the armour was in fact it's skin, you would never suspect it was anything but human.

The knightmares didn't really have the mental factilities to recognize wrong from right, and so it wouldn't become an infrequent sight to see a member of the species tagging along with a band of bandits, in the service of an evil overlord, or as a personal champion of a righteous king. For the most part though, the creatures were content to wander the land alone. Knightmares only came together to mate, as when knightmares meet, their natural competiveness means they must fight.

Content that his creation would cause a little chaos in the overly orderly Azoria, and one up those opressive knights, the child god teleported back to the exarchs side, realizing that they'd come to a little shack. "Wow, really? That's neat!"

***

The ghouls king munched the flesh of the bones of the genasi, throwing it onto the pile to form a complete, fleshless genasi skeleton. They'd been lucky to find the scouting party so far from the wastes... but it seemed a shame to waste the bones like that. He wondered...

Raising his hands over the bones, Russet willed them to live, willed them to serve him and his kind. And rise they did, forming a loyal servant of the ghoul king. A smile touched his muzzle... if he could create servants like this, and continued to do so, maybe taking down his devil overlords wouldn't be as difficult as he'd feared.

***

And, in the Chaos Wastes, something that would forever shape the destiny of the genasi and the continent as a whole took place as Chaos heated stone finally cooled after centuries of burning, revealing large veins of copper and tin.

Metal had finally come to Ardune.

With the disappearance of Azora from the western coasts of Taldar, Silvena lost their lone trading partner. However, despite this sudden disappearance, they did manage to learn several valuable bits of knowledge from the short time they traded with them.

-----

Far to the south of the rebuilding of Terena, the Defense Coalition's remains, newly renamed Naru, had worked and struggled with the ancient wasteland. Though it had taken centuries, they set the land on course to recover, restoring life to the blighted lands.

------

The loremasters, no longer co-coordinating the defense of the continent, turned their attention back to their task. Slowly but surely, their enclaves spread into Menosa in the west and Zophar to the north. With this expansion, minotaurs began to join the ranks and the organization prospered.

-----

With the discovery of a variety of metals high in their mountain homelands, the minotaurs began to master the art of blacksmithing.

-----

With an eerie green glow, the portal slowly opened up, pyre flies in the area scattering, avoiding the gateway's light. A new farscape gateway had opened.

-----

Veros called out again. “Mara!? Where are you?”

Hammu stirred. His head cleared.. he remembered the trials, Veros reclaiming his power, Mara destroying Beacon in a fit. Mara. He would have to exact justice for that. Retribution was a concept that she could understand.

----------

Rakshasa scouts on Ardune discovered the presence of veins of rich ore, and Rakashasa smiths learned to work it into tools and armor.

----------

Beacon saw the nations around them using magic to bend the elements to their will, and some of the most diligent scholars went abroad to study in academies of magic. Some stayed, and some returned and began to train others.

----------

The introduction of arcane magic on a wide scale had great consequences for Beacon. Arcane rituals terraced the land, and fruits and vegetables were grown in even greater numbers than before. Magic guided the hammers of the smiths, too, and Beacon learned to weave magic and steel.

----------

The portal Rabi called Zenith irised open again. Through it fell what looked like drops of blood, which spattered the stone inside the cavern called the Place Between Places. Where the blood landed, it stuck, and seemed to swell a little. The spray never dimmed in time, but went on always looking as if it was fresh.

1PP (-1PP from Human members) Guide Populace: Other races in Beacon learn the art of metalsmithing.
+1PP (The Zenith) Create Artifact: a permanent portal forms between the Place Between Places and the Bloodstones.
Bring Gleemax Back.  Even as a failure, it was better than this.

"Wait, he saved you from life... and saved you from death... isn't that kind of like saying that it's day and night at the same time? Though I suppose there's sunrise and sunset..." The child god frowned in confusion, before shaking his head, deciding to let it be. "Well, I'm glad to hear Mr Orderly has some love from his followers too," he said with a smile.

***

The genasi quickly remembered the art that had long fallen dormant of blacksmithing, and soon were mining the tin and copper, melting it down, and forming it into bronze. With the advent of the metal, hunting became a lot easier, as did defending their lands from enemies.
