Cool, thanks

No Facebook either, never saw the point.

I've got a funeral to attend to in AL next week and I'm heading out tommorow. I wont be able to get on very often..but I'll be back soon enough. I'm going to end any affairs that Honissia happens to be in right now and he's going to spend his time training.

Can I get somebody to use his PP to get more members of the guild and get the other assassins of the different races worshiping honissia? [I've got the Humites in the guild and the Humans both in the guild and worshiping] The warforged are fine for now so really all I want is expansion of the guild.
Flag Graxith August 3, 2009 7:08 AM PDT
That really sums it all up. If anything needs changing I'll have to do it when I get back.

Heh, I was out at the hospital all day. My grandmother is having a bit of heart trouble. Nothing she hasn't done before, it just keeps me away a bit.
Flag Nerdzul August 3, 2009 4:23 PM PDT
How is she now?

;(
Flag ff6shadow August 3, 2009 4:27 PM PDT
They are keeping her for a few nights to get some fluid off of her. She just sort of builds water and can't get rid of it fast enough.

On an LoC not (it was a slow day), two things.

1. You'll need to alter the race itself as well to accept not Drahthor souls.

2. Ekluag, how are warforged punching through the Azure Aegis to get into the aether. To my knowledge, none of the mortal races have anything potent enough to do it reliably and on a regular basis (Imperium excluded).
Flag Nerdzul August 3, 2009 4:33 PM PDT
I'll (got the points for that), but since I'm the one reworking it I'll just keep them a little more bound to me than to the Bronze Pantheon (just in case hehe) :p

While this probably would have been chatted about on the journey, what I am looking for is an IC description talk of what nations/races you have contact trade with, particularly looking for the Eladrin/Loremasters, but generally anything. The way you word this is somewhat important and is why I want to have you write it out. The more descriptive you are, the better for me

They are using gear gates, a network of gates that can teleport the user around the network. Currently have 3 pp spent in them. Does the Azure Ageas (gah..can't spell it from memory) have a teleportation blocking effect? Essentially, they are teleporting past it.

Gear gates are a gear shaped figures, maybe 10 feet across. Inside is a hole about 7 feet across. They are made from a metal that cannot be harmed by conventional means, and cannot be identified. When activated, the person doing it can either choose another gate or an area as the target. In the case of an area, it will automatically connect to the nearest gate to the given area. Once activated, the gates will connect and the two holes will become one, so anything can pass through. It is like a wormhole through space, you can see the other side through the hole at your end. Depending on how well the ritual was performed, the gate may stay open for a few seconds to an hour or two. Two way travel is possible and inanimate objects can be tossed through alone.

I made them as a fluff object, and also because the fluff for giving the warforged paladin class was easier with them. Never got to post it, but oh well.
Flag ff6shadow August 4, 2009 5:41 AM PDT
Okay, how do you determine where these gates are?
Flag ekluag August 4, 2009 6:05 AM PDT
They are spread randomly over the outer world, and now, into the aether and inner world. You can search for them the old fashioned way, manually, or explore using one gate to find others in an area.

We go until everyone stops.

Pretty much anyway.

As long as there's a decent contingent to keep playing around the game continues.

Flag ff6shadow August 4, 2009 11:53 AM PDT
Pretty much. It goes until no admins remain, no players remain, or a general consensus is come to that the world is complete.
Flag ff6shadow August 4, 2009 12:01 PM PDT
Sorry Mechalibur, I must have missed the return post. Do you intend for those three nations to be a different nation PP wise, or are they still considered 1?

Ekluag, could you link me to the original gear gate post? Or at least tell me how much the original cost?
Flag ekluag August 4, 2009 12:30 PM PDT
Haven't a clue where the original post would be, but they were either a 1 or 2 pp create artifact expenditure. I just added 2 pp, so they are either 3 or 4 pp total.
Flag ff6shadow August 4, 2009 12:50 PM PDT
I had to search the thread for it. I missed it before, as I had no records of them. You spent 1 PP on them to begin with, which is only enough for a a localized effect. In all honesty I don't believe a moderate artifact expenditures is enough to spread these gates across the entirety of the mortal plane. The only long range artifacts of similar design are Nerdzul's Blooways (inaccurate and somehwat hard to control, if I understand correctly) and the Hellfire Gate (requires divine intervention (at least an exarch) to function). And those are both whole 3 PP artifacts. You have a 2 PP + 1 PP artifact that is better than both of them. I'm going to PM the other admins, but I don't think that is going to be enough PP.
Flag ekluag August 4, 2009 1:03 PM PDT
So would I have to ret-con my expenditure, or could I spend more pp next turn?
Flag ff6shadow August 4, 2009 1:08 PM PDT
At least, yes. I've sent the PM. Even though both are away, I've seen them both online and talked to them, so we should get an answer soon.

A reminder, that artifacts do have semi-ranges. A 1 PP artifact is a localized effect. A 2 PP artifact is a much larger effect, similar in size to the Gray Wastes (though the Gray Wastes are a smaller then they could have been), and 3 PP artifacts can have continent wide effects. These are not hard rules on effect size, and I'm a lax with this rule of thumb when it comes to teleportation and gateway effect (since they don't actually effect the area they cover), but they still serve as general guidlines. Also, a 2 PP artifact + a 1 PP artifact does not equal a 3 PP artifact in effect.

On a non-rules related note, I don't think it's appropriate to place that kind of travel in mortal hands as part of building the world anyways. Your intended goal sounds like it is effectively going to let the Iron State go anywhere and everywhere, ignoring intervening terrain, without any real difficultuies.
Flag Nerdzul August 4, 2009 1:12 PM PDT
How much time before the reset?
Flag ff6shadow August 4, 2009 1:13 PM PDT
3 hours or so.
Flag ekluag August 4, 2009 1:26 PM PDT
Well, I am fine with leaving out the gear gates/getting rid of them, but the point remains, I would like to get the Iron State into the aether. If you want me to modify my post so as to focus the gates on leaving the planet into the Aether, I would do that. The gates were kind of a impulse decision anyway.
Flag ff6shadow August 4, 2009 1:41 PM PDT
A 1 PP artifact can easily connect two locations, so you could plant a gate that leads into the aether with no trouble . . . though I do have to wonder why you want into the aether, doing that is easy.
Flag ff6shadow August 4, 2009 2:17 PM PDT
AngeloftheNight, just a reminder, your shaping of illithids is still an invalid action. You have about 2.5 hours to rectify it.
Flag Nerdzul August 4, 2009 2:22 PM PDT

Honestly Chapien, I didn't really think anyone would ignore it. I figured I'd get questioned sooner.

Honestly since It can't be done I'll not waste my time in looking for that post... bah...

Flag ff6shadow August 4, 2009 3:18 PM PDT
Anubis Dread, three things,

1, It's a nourish to add metals to land.
2. No Bulwark this turn. It was a one turn deal.
3. If the reset was to get posted, your post would be ignored. Just a heads up. Better to ask me to delay then post and hope you make it in time.
Flag AnubisDread August 4, 2009 3:22 PM PDT
Alright then, I'm editting so genasi don't learn how to use metal, but metal does appear as a nourish... and to spawn skeletons. Skeletons have probably been done by now, but they aren't in Ardune, so guide or spawn it'll still only cost 1 generic PP

And I did not realize that :embarrass . I should be done pretty soon, mind delaying until then if I take a little longer than expected? ^_^;
Flag AnubisDread August 4, 2009 3:34 PM PDT

Knightmares=AWESOME!

Yay for more adventure in Azora!
Flag ff6shadow August 4, 2009 3:39 PM PDT
Another note. Genasi already have Blacksmithing.

And we both added metal to Ardune this turn. Fair to note, yes, skeletons were done, though I left out the Tomb Guardians when I did it.
Flag AnubisDread August 4, 2009 3:40 PM PDT
Yeah, I rather like them myself... having a lone knight dominating a tournament turn out to be an aberrant horror seemed like too awesome an adventure hook to pass up :D

And sorry about underestimating the time until the reset, the forum times display times different to my time zone, so when I logged in and saw a post saying that it was going to reset in three hours with a time I couldn't work out what it was compared to now with tonnes of PP left unspent I kind of panicked :embarrass

The loremasters, no longer co-coordinating the defense of the continent, turned their attention back to their task. Slowly but surely, their enclaves spread into Menosa in the west and Zophar to the north. With this expansion, minotaurs began to join the ranks and the organization prospered.

Veros called out again. “Mara!? Where are you?”

PP Expenditures
1 PP (Artifact) - Guide Populace (Lesser) - Loremasters begin sending expeditions to Zophar

Well I was thinking that the Imperium should try to conquer Zophar (so at least once in the history of the servants of the god of Conquest they will actually conquer something... amazing uh?)

However I guess that the almighty loremaster (that at the moment can freely rule the planet without any real competitor I think) will send again the whole world against them should they try? Or me and Angel can go freely for that?

The three Terenean States are close enough that they share all of their technological findings. So any guide (tech) to one state will affect the other two. Although if the action is set to a specific state, then it's more common there.

ff6shadow wrote:

Eorna is a 6PP artifact. I wanted it to be the focus for all healing, so if it's destroyed, mortals can't heal anymore (without making a new focus). Is that okay, or is it a no-no since it's world-wide rather than continent-wide.

Also, I have an idea what those tests were for...

Flag AnubisDread August 4, 2009 3:59 PM PDT
It is slightly discerning that all three of us created metal independently on the same turn.. and here I thought the genasi would end up with a monopoly :P
Flag Mechalibur August 4, 2009 4:01 PM PDT
Hmm, if I remember correctly, the humites still have trade with the genasi.
Flag ff6shadow August 4, 2009 4:01 PM PDT
Yep. Everybody was adding metal and metalworking to Ardune. Though the Genasi already has the working part down. Had I remembered, I would have had the minotaurs contact them first :D

Okay, so the three states are fluff, and the core is still under the nation of Terena for the pupose of PP?

As for Eorna being the focus of healing, that is an odd one. I guess it would be effectively investing Eorna with the healing domain. In effect, if Shurka were to die, healing continues because Eorna exists. If Eorna dies, healing ceases, even though Shurka still remains as the god of healing. It's a fluff action, which you should post IC as doing.

Edit:Ardune's Genasi have been cut off as an nation due to their unique nature. They have no trade with anyone right now.

Also, Mechalibur, envoys from Meribia, Sivera, and theLoremasters have been seeking Terena's leaders. Can we get that going in MS?

MassiveAttack, Veros is looking for Mara.
Flag Mechalibur August 4, 2009 4:04 PM PDT
I've actually stated a couple times (In the IC thread) that Eorna was the focus of healing. I think Shurka mentioned it to Nixis and Azor'Chapein. Eorna was on the verge of dying when the giants destroyed Terena, but the quick rebuilding efforts prevented that.

I haven't been looking at the MS thread. If anything there concerns me, mentioning it here (or via PM) is a good idea.
Flag ff6shadow August 4, 2009 4:06 PM PDT
Okay, that works. I recall seeing them now.
Flag MassiveAttack August 4, 2009 4:07 PM PDT
is Sivera seperate entity from the Cloudpeak mountain (or whatever its called)? I thought they were since the former has a mix of the Shardar-Kai and Eladrin and the latter doesn't, but I want to confirm.
Flag AnubisDread August 4, 2009 4:12 PM PDT
As a side note, I think technically speaking there are still conventional genasi on the outer world somewhere: only the genasi in the Chaos were cut off. As such I think the humites would still be trading with them, unless they were wiped out in one of the disasters that have occured since someone checked on them last or something.
Flag Nerdzul August 4, 2009 4:12 PM PDT
Time to go for me, see you tomorrow

mmm I think I should pay an IC visit to Mara and Shurka too, one day...
And also send a new Free Nation envoy to the new Terena (if they are still interested in trading relations).

Soo many things to do hehe..

To Shadow: I'd appreciate if you reply to the question in my last post (so that I don't waste actions on that). Also can you post the Drahkorn techs and nourishes (so that I have some idea about what to teach them).

To Chapien and Massive: I have replied to both in mortal stories.

Sivera is the eladrin and shadar-kai.

Silvena is a group of elves on Taldar.

The names are similar and I frequently get them mixed up when typing.
Flag MassiveAttack August 4, 2009 4:37 PM PDT

Flag AnubisDread August 4, 2009 7:53 PM PDT
I'm just guessing here, since the actual method for determining PP is kept secret. But I would guess it might be that you only have one race worshipping you, or maybe it's determined by number of creations or some such.

While I'm already posting, five PP per turn? Sweet :D

*gives party line*

Any action you make in the game will result in you eventually going up in PP production points. Only Shadow knows the exact formula and he keeps it safe in a giant lockbox.

*end party line*

But obviously different things effect the equation in more relevant ways, and I suspect, like Anubis, that having large nations worship you is good... so... get a lot of large nations worshiping you, at least in part.

Probably now that you're part of the Pantheon, you'll see things pick up shortly. I can't imagine you're *too* far away.

Beside we should peek at that lockbox some time ...

I have the impression that the Pantheon does not give any benefit (and if I know shadow well probably it is disadvantage in term of PP hehe...)

Btw I was thinking to expand the Panetheon faith to the whole continent, however since I have spent like 8 points to bring it to the drakhons last two turns (2 pp guide, 3 create and 3 shape populace) I don't feel like spending all my points on that, any god of the Pantheon willing to contribute? :p

Flag Chapien August 5, 2009 3:57 PM PDT

Flag Nerdzul August 5, 2009 4:05 PM PDT
No I think that there are no dragonborn, I was thinkin of creating them but then I had many other things to do and I forgot :p I think I'll make dragonswpawns instead...

To Massive: I like the idea of Tobacco hehe maybe we should work out some "exportation", with the Free Nations forming a "Western India Company"-like guild to begin distribution in the continent hehe...

Ae-Silvani can't breath air no . . . but why wouldn't the aether carry sound?
Flag MassiveAttack August 6, 2009 8:51 PM PDT
I don't know but I thought that was one of the described characteristics, it was too this/light to be effective or something like that.

I thought the Ae-Silvani can breath air and not aether, hence why the valin trees suck it up, and why they need those spherical ships to fly around.
