132. Cape of Rain Repulsion. While worn with the hood up, this cape will keep the wearer perfectly dry, regardless of how much rain or snow is falling. Even areas not covered by the cloak are protected. Only effective against natural precipitation and has no effect on non-natural rainfall, non-water downpour, or rain and snow once it has reached the ground. So if you step in a puddle of rain water, your shoes will be wet.

133. Chamberpot of Discretion. Functions like a regular chamberpot, except that the contents look like regular dirt and have no smell while remaining inside the chamberpot.

These are so handy! *yoink*

134. Goggles of Dimming - These goggles let you see in black and white. Yay!

Lol; I am trying to hard to find an actual way that these would be useful because I desire them! ...maybe for an artist that only wants to draw in black and white.

136. Strange Book Set- You're not sure as to what these materials are used for, but they seem incredibly well-made and designed. The set includes three books sporting long but somewhat bland descriptions of races, monsters, nations, and other things native to your world. There also seems to be a strange code dealing with a central entity known as 'D' that is prevalent throughout the books. Also included are several large sheets of gridded paper that are marked with primitive maps of places you've already been, a collection of numbered prisms, and a set of one-inch high figurines that seem all too similar to the party...

138. Coin of flipping. Whomever loses the coin toss is instantaneously turned upside down, ignoring all forms of restraint. Their face replaces the one on the coin.

I tossed a handful of things from this thread in a dragon's horde this past week, and it worked quite well. Everyone was fighting over some of the items, and some were just so silly they kept them anyway.

Among my favorites are some that I modified on a whim, usually at the prompting of players. "Is there any way to.."

11) A wooden goblet that does not appear to start filling until at least twice its capacity of liquid has been poured into it. It functions normally after that until, at a completely random point in the night, it expulses the liquid in a vertical fountain.

17) A tapestry depicting daily life in an average village that changes slightly to mimic the weather at whatever location it's being kept at. (On sunny days, the tapestry has a clear sky and the townsfolk are going about business as usual. On rainy days, the tapestry has dark clouds and there are fewer townsfolk in the picture.)

Changed to a Goblet of Holding and a Forecasting Tapestry, respectively.

I'll probably have the goblet spew liquid eventually, but I haven't mentioned that to anyone yer.

The tapestry depicts what the weather will be like tomorrow, but can't predict magical effects. The village stays the same, though.

25) Bag of Unholding: Any object placed in the bag weighs twice as much.

I changed this to a bag of holding that weighs 300lb unless you speak the command word. Now they have some weird counterwight thing...

29) Paranoiacs best enemy: This bag appears to be a normal bad of holding. However whenever an item is placed within the bag it is teleported (after 3d6 (3-18) minutes) to a randomly determined bag, chest, pouch, pocket or backpack located within 5 feet of the bag. There is no visible effect from the teleportation. Note: The item has to be able to reasonably fit into the targeted space.

30) Wondrously cold chest:

I'll have to use that next time! :D

Changed #30 to a Beer Chest of Wonder. It has cup holder slots on the top that are also chilled. This was easily the most popular item. :D

Casual Magic player since 2003 (Onslaught Block).  60% Johnny, 40% Timmy.

139. Ba' Kah Di's Bar Tab Compass. This compass points, with 80% reliability, to the person in a party whose turn it is to buy the drinks.

140. Capo of tuning. Once placed on any stringed instrument, this capo will ensure the instrument is always in tune. Capo must be removed between uses or a 25% of irreversible detuning will happen.

141. Brave Sir Robyn's Magic Minstrel Banner. This magical banner, emblazoned with a chicken, will recount in epic comedic song style the past three deeds of the bearer with all the fanfare of a three piece minstrel band. This singing occurs while marching and ends once a battle has begun. -7 to stealth checks.

142. Boots of Reversed Movement - The wearer of these boots suffers a brutal assault to their sanity as when they attempt to move in a certain direction, they instead head in the opposite intended! If they attempt to move backwards to move forward, they still move backward since their intention was actually forward movement.

143. Shirt of Vampiric Delusions - The wearer of this frilly, puffy, fancy and blood stained shirt falsely believes himself to be a fabled bloodsucking creature of the night...

144. Rod of Getting Warmer - This intelligent item can detect the distance to a desired item, and says "Getting warmer" or "colder" depending on direction traveled. Unfortunately the rod is extremely hard of hearing!

145. THE MOST EVIL RING IN THE MULTIVERSE!!!! - This intelligent and evil ring suffers from a severe case of delusion as it in fact has no power whatsoever to effect the world around it. It generally believes all actions taken by the wearer are from its doing, and even good ones it attempts to construe to evil as it guides the wearer to his "ULTIMATE DESTINY AS A TYRANT OF PURE EVIL!!!!"

146) Magic Sword -2. Someone got the enchantment backwards.
guides Show
my builds Show

F-111 Interdictor Long (200+ squares) distance ally teleporter.  With some warlord stuff.  Broken in a plot way, not a power way.
Thought Switch   Higher level build that grants upto 14 attacks on turn 1.  If your allies play along, it's broken.
Elven Critters Crit op with crit generation.  5 of these will end anything.  Broken.
King Fisher Does an excellent job at keeping an enemy disabled in a few ways.  Strong.
Boominator Fun catch-22 booming blade build with either strong or completely broken damage depending on your reading.
Very Distracting Warlock Lot's of dazing and major penalties to hit.  Overpowered.
Pocket Protector Pixie Stealth Knight. Maximizing the defender's aura by being in an ally's/enemy's square.
Yakuza NinjIntimiAdin: Perma-stealth Striker that offers a little protection for ally's, and can intimidate bloodied enemies. Very Strong.
Chargeburgler with cheese Ranged attacks at the end of a charge along with perma-stealth. Solid, could be overpowered if tweaked.
Void Defender Defends giving a penalty to hit anyone but him, then removing himself from play. Can get somewhat broken in epic.
Scry and Die Attacking from around corners, while staying hidden. Moderate to broken, depending on the situation.
Skimisher Fly in, attack, and fly away. Also prevents enemies from coming close. Moderate to Broken depending on the enemy, but shouldn't make the game un-fun, as the rest of your team is at risk, and you have enough weaknesses.
Indestructible Simply won't die, even if you sleep though combat.
Sir Robin (Bravely Charge Away) He automatically slows and pushes an enemy (5 squares), while charging away. Hard to rate it's power level, since it's terrain dependent.
Death's Gatekeeper A fun twist on a healic, making your party "unkillable". Overpowered to Broken, but shouldn't actually make the game un-fun, just TPK proof.
Death's Gatekeeper mk2, (Stealth Edition) Make your party "unkillable", and you hidden, while doing solid damage. Stronger then the above, but also easier for a DM to shut down. Broken, until your DM get's enough of it.
Domination and Death Dominate everything then kill them quickly. Only works @ 30, but is broken multiple ways.
Battlemind Mc Prone-Daze Protecting your allies by keeping enemies away. Quite powerful.
The Retaliator Getting hit deals more damage to the enemy then you receive yourself, and you can take plenty of hits. Heavy item dependency, Broken.
Dead Kobold Transit Teleports 98 squares a turn, and can bring someone along for the ride. Not fully built, so i can't judge the power
Psilent Guardian Protect your allies, while being invisible. Overpowered, possibly broken
Unnamed Avenger|Runepriest/Hammer of Vengance Do lot's of damage while boosting your teams. Strong to slightly overpowered.
Charedent BarrageA charging ardent. Fine in a normal team, overpowered if there are 2 together, and easily broken in teams of 5.
Super Knight A tough, sticky, high damage knight. Strong.
Super Duper Knight Basically the same as super knight, only far more broken.
Mora, the unkillable avenger Solid damage, while being neigh indestuctable. Overpowered, but not broken.
Swordburst Maximus At-Will Close Burst 3 that slide and prones.  Protects allies with off actions. Strong, possibly over powered with the right party.
