Hey Skritti,
Do you have any Tyranid stats?
I plan to use some tyranids for my upcoming game(which your in line for)
Also, to voice an opinion,
I remember tyranids being treated as monsters in the original D40K
I think that they should be Races, like marines or orks, then just give them levels of strong or fast.

hope that made sense

Tyranids are monsters of the Alien Beast type. (Identical in other words to the Magical Beast of the D&D game.) The Tyranids have now been added to the website.

EDIT: Tyranids can't take class levels because they are not sentient. They are alien beasts whose only instinct is to feed. If you want to think of the whole race as sentient fair enough (hive mind I know) but I don't want to confuse people into thinking a termegant character makes sense.

Tyranids are the only race in all of 40k that can truly not be played in d20. It's like playing a zerg hydralisk or an ALIEN or a Starship Troopers 'bug'. It just doesn't work.

Excellent Stuff!!!!!! Why not just use Merchant Men for the RT ships? Great Idea with the Spacehulk adventure! By the way, Imperial cruisers are ~4 KILOMETERS long, I've no idea how long that is in miles, though.
I think that Space Marine should definately be a template-just specify that it can only be used on 'pure' male humans (but the Tyrant Guard may just be an exception to that...). Can we get a conversion system from Inquisitor to D20? And, for all us BFG players, a conversion system? I'm working on nutting out the Lunar, and Mars class (battle) cruisers-with the Tyrant as a guide, its reasonably easy, but Vengeance...etc will prove more difficult without...

The D20-40k site is undoubtably one of the best sites on the net!

Just checking, are you Daniel S. (won't put the last name for privacy reasons)?

Thanks in advance,

Ryltar Thamior.

Your website has really turned me on to the WH 40K setting. I was wondering if anybody could recommend a novel or a core book so that I could learn more about the 40k world?

I know that another company has plans to de a new rpg based on the series but honestly I dont want another rule book, I want a world book (and stats for D20 rules like Skrittiblak's doing).

Again I must demand that this is turned into a pdf or text file so that I can enjoy your hard work at my leisure. Great Stuff.

Well the core rule book for the system has bits of the history and flavour of the setting. However the actual 40k game is large scale conflicts rather than roleplaying.

Thank you!

Yeah, I'm Daniel. Don't worry about the privacy issue. I don't mind people knowing my name. (In fact I thought it was in my profile...)

Crazy as it sounds I prefer people to call me Skrit or Skritti when I'm on forums. I've been using the same screen name for chat/forums/blogs since I was about 13 and I'm very fond of Skrittiblak.

Skrittiblak was the general of my first WHFB Skaven army. Hehe.

The secret's out! My email addy is Skrittiblak(a)yahoo.com.

I check all of them fairly regularly. I'm pretty open to suggestions regarding the website and always accept edits wrote:

Re: BFG / Inquisitor. I unfortunatly never developed a good system for converting the BFG rules, at least not to the extent that I developed them for 40k. And I have a naughty confession: I've never played Inquisitor. :embarrass

BUT! Like I said, I'd be really happy to accept any new material.

With regards to the PDF everyone's been asking for. It's in the works!!!

Yay! Brett R. is helping me (ok no, doing it all himself) put together a PDF. I'm sure if you're all nice he'll have a beautiful PDF for everyone in no time. Of course I have to get my act together and finish it.

I should perform some major-domo updates this weekend.

I'll see if I can get my paws on an Inquisitor rulebook and hammer out a conversion. Might take a while, though.

check one of the websites or another, I believe it's easier to get to from the UK GW site, but they have some 90 pages of rulebook in PDF for free on there, for Inquisitor.

Go to the Games-workshop site, go to the specialist games link, go to the Inquisitor (or Battlefleet Gothic, or Epic...etc), then go to a The Living Rulebook, or TLR on some sections. This has the FULL (i.e. Flavour, Crunch, and Art) version of each rulebook, broken up handily. Very nice people, the SG team! Too bad that Furies and Starhawks won't get statted up (no rules apart from speed ever published). Ah well, should have Mars, and Lunar soon...
