Q 8308: Dragon Disciple grants a limited number of bonus spells, as if from a high ability score. Are there any other prestige classes that do this? I know of Loremaster, but that caps out at 1st or 2nd level. Are there any that are uncapped, like Dragon Disciple's bonus spell mechanic?

I can't think of any classes that grant bonus spell slots like the DragonD does. Of course most people put down the DragonD because of thatwhen they would rather see a "real" spellcasting advancement.

I understand that the Dragon Disciple's bonus spell mechanic is inferior 95% of the time, but there are odd corner cases where it's not. For instance, if you've maxed out a Sublime Chord's casting, and CL isn't an issue, bonus spells are sometimes more useful than continuing to progress Sublime Chord beyond 10 levels. I'm just wondering if there are any options other than DD for this.

Still looking for an answer on the previous question - there's got to be something other than Dragon Disciple and the Extra Slot feat to grant bonus spells per day if you've capped out your levels in a spellcasting class.
Also, I have a new question...
Q 8309: Is there any way for a non-wizard to pick up the Spell Mastery feat? I'm specifically looking for a way to qualify for Uncanny Forethought without being a wizard. Alternatively, is there anything akin to Uncanny Forethought for divine prepared casters?

Q 8310: When looking at builds, many consists of more than two different classes (including Tempest's weekly optimized builds). Is it comon not to play with multiclassing XP loss, or am I missing something? Clearly thosed optimized builds aren't meant to be played with the penalty, are they?

Most people don't partiuclarily enjoy the multiclass penalty I know that at my table we don't even consider doing it because we find the math time constraints (which isn't long but breaks the flow) and the idea of being penalized for creativity or flavour is a silly rule. Finally its also not a gigantic factor because if you begin to fall behind you will get awarded extra xp if you fall a whole level behind. This is because the xp system is designed to keep everyone approximately the same level

It's a pretty common houserule to ignore it, but many of the builds on here don't need to worry about it anyway. They often use favored classes and/or humans.

Many builds contain multiple classes but often many of those classes are PrCs which never have counted towards the XP penalty. A large number of the rest are already build to avoid the penalty or at least could be built that way at the cost of some super optimization. With the right favored class many builds lose the potential XP penalty at least for some. There probably are some builds that would have an unavoidable long term XP penalty (although some could see it for a level or two while advancing) but I don't try to find them.
I will note that some extreme optimizers (along with potential munchkins) may ignore the XP penalty in the blinding quest for power. Although it may cost some of that "optimum" power most could be done without the penalty and still be pretty good.

Q 8311: Is there a prestige class that can cast Identify at will (or as much as possible) without having to pay the 100 GP material component each time? Thanks.

A 8311: There is the Artificer's Monocle (MIC) that lets you identify items with a check by making a successful articer knoledge check or by detecting the item's aura with detect magic (only if you have 5 or more ranks in knowledge arcana). So you can get it at will by getting 2 levels of warlock or 1 of artificer.
