I don't think it's necessary.  I would assume that any numerical quantity in excess of what is listed would constitute a qualifying prerequisite.  If the class requires a +6 BAB, after all, you can enter if your BAB is higher than that.

A3807: Sanctum Spell. Or knowstones/other list-enhancers.

Wow, somehow I'm so used to Sanctum Spell being used to boost a spell level that I completely forgot it drops the spell level if used outside of one's sanctum.  That gets me down to third level... almost there.

By spell list enhancers, do you mean things like Mother Cyst and the various Bloodline/Heritage feats?  I can use a higher level slot to cast a lower level spell - so if I take Mother Cyst, then I can use my 4th-level slots to cast the 2nd-level spells, right?

Not familiar with Knowstones.  A quick google tells me they're in a dragon magazine, but I just checked the Compendium and couldn't find them... I take it they're just things that add spells to spell lists, like the Drake-Helm?

draco, I just checked the DMG section on prestige classes and couldn't find anything there, nor does a search on the SRD yield anything.  Do you happen to have a page number?

Yes, sadly. I must say, though, that they are the single best-written thing from a Dragon. Expensive, but seriously godsend to any Sorcerer. But, yes, they're similar to Drakehelms Or, of course, you could pick up a Runestaff.
