Is there any way to maximize a Fochlucan Lyrist build with cleric spell progression instead of druid progression?

I've been asked to build the paragon of the elven race, for our campaign world. He's gonna be a Fochlucan Lyrist, and he will actually have created the druidic language in the first place, so obviously, he speaks it. Nevermind that he's a cleric rather than a druid :D .

I'm pretty sure my Cloistered Cleric version fits the bill. All but one or two levels are lost for cleric progression.

Blue23]Speak Druidic:
Would the "Gift of Languages" feat from Races of Faerun do it? It's for sun & moon elves only, grants extra Int for extra languages only, and removes limitations on what languages you learn for a starting character.

The feat says, apparently, "You are not limited to languages from your region." I'd be inclined to say it doesn't, if it only allows access to "mortal" languages. If it includes oddball languages like the elemental languages or other outsider languages, then it probably does. Anyone know more details about thi wrote:

I added a new build, some new variants of old builds, cloistered cleric and harper priest.

TO DO:

Master thrower probably deserves a mention; anyone want to provide a write-up for me?

Add loredelver; anyone want to provide a write-up for me?

Add illithid savant and prophet of Era-whatcha-ma-call-it to bardic knowledge.

Consider adding a feats section.

Todd]Wizard-5 / Divine Oracle-2 / Loremaster-1 / Divine Bard-2 / Fochlucan Lyrist-10

BAB 14
Wizard Caster level - 18
Divine Bard Caster level - 12

How are you getting Speak Language (Druidic)? I think you maybe need Loremaster 4 for this.

So maybe:

Wizard5/DivineOracle2/Loremaster4/DivineClass1/FochlucanLyrist8

Wizard Caster Level 19
Divine Caster Level 9

I'm not sure of the feat progression but I know Divine Oracle and Loremaster has some synegy.

Or for a cleric build:

CloisteredCleric5/DivineOracle2/Wizard1/Loremaster4/Fochlucan wrote:

Added loredelver and the shadow template to ways to get evasion; added loredelver and limited use things to ways to get bardic knowledge;added gift of languages to ways to get Druidic, and made some miscellaneous clean-ups.

The excerpt from races of the wild mentions a wizard/druid prestige class. Anyone know if it advances both kinds of spellcasting, or if it's like hathran, geomancer, and dweomerkeeper?

PrCs that advance casting and grant one of bardic music, favored enemy, or trapfinding could lead to some amusing builds. I'm only aware of classes for the first and second, I guess: virtuoso (CV) and prestige bard (UA), and prestige ranger (UA). Anyone remember other classes?

Hey all i was looking through some Dragon Magazines and i have found two things that might be useful to this thread:

Firstly to the Lordelver build with the Illumian. You could take the Prestige class Avoreens keeper to compliment your divine caster as it:

Avoreen’s Keeper gives +1 Divine spells each level and trapfinding at level 1, to get in you need Alertness, Weapon profs in Short sword, Sling and Shortbow as well as the Track feat. BAB +4 (A few miscellaneous skills at 4 ranks and Halfling (Dragon #321)

Thus you wouldn't have to lose a level and be forced to take Rogue ^_^ for it.

Secondly this one may be iffy although according to the RAW it should work. Has anyone seen the Feat Polygot? I am not speaking of the Epic feat but rather the non-epic one that appears in Dragon 323. The RAW of this feat would let you pick up Druidic. I hope that this isn't against the TOS to post the flavor text:

Traveling abroad has given you a knack for picking up languages.

Traveling alot thus met someone who could teach you it and you picked up Druidic !

Hope that helps ^_^ and sorry if someone else already said these, i hate to be redundant.

How do you propose for an Illumian to get into a Halfling prestige class?
