Build Posting Guidelines
1. NO abbreviations please! Not everybody knows that a HL is a Holy Liberator, etc... I don't even know all the abbreviations and I've been on this board for years.
2. Please state what book the prestige classes you use are from to make indexing easier. (Note: this applies if you are the first to post a build using said class)
3. Please say which category your build belongs in.
4. Feel free to post as many builds in one post as you like.
5. Please try to post recommended feats, spells and equipment for your builds. This wasn't done on my other 3.5 threads and now that they are relatively dead (come on, we need more Paladin builds!), it doesn't look like it's ever going to happen.
6. Remember, people like to see explanations as to why the build is so powerful/cool/etc... so please try to include a brief explanation (a full 1-20 progression would be nice...). Epic Advice is welcome.

Nice. But I think your first archer build is broken - Rgr3/Monk2 doesn't qualify you for Templar (it needs a +5 BAB).

I am still not convinced that a Rgr2-3/ClassX/Templar1 build is better than the classic Rgr1/Ftr4. In Rgr1/Ftr4 the ranger level is to get the BAB and the proper class skills for Deepwood Sniper at the same time, not for the feats. Even though Rgr2 gets you an archery feat, Rgr1/Ftr4 will be ahead of a Rgr5 in terms of archery. If Rgr5 delays entry into archery PrCs for templar (for weapon spec) he falls that much farther behind Rgr1/Ftr4, who has already taken his first level of DWS or OotBI. Plus in epic levels you are that much closer to Greater WS if you have fighter levels already.

In my opinion, with a dedicated archer character, you should cram as many levels of archer PrCs in as possible. Any build using Templar gets you at most 14 levels - while the oldschool Rgr1/Ftr4 gets you 15. IMO, OotBI8/DWS7 or OotBI10/DWS2/PA3 are both better than Templar1/OotBI7/DWS7 or any other combination.

All this for a pure archer, of course.

LordShade - thx for pointing out the broken build, I double checked the requirements for the other 2 PrCs in the build and they also need BAB +5. Note that these are not my builds, merely a compilation of the builds that were posted on the old thread back in the day when we were using the other msg board system. Having said that, I'll switch the first Templar build to be Ranger 1/Fighter 4/OotBI 8/DWS 7.

I don't think that I even contributed a single build, which is quite sad...

In 3.5, the acquisition of both the rogue's uncanny dodge ability and the paladin's turn undead (for the divine feats) has been delayed until level 4. You may wish to revise the builds that incorporate rog / pal 3 (probably by dropping a level or two of ranger or another prestige class).

Would anybody like to contribute some new builds? Certain sections could use a little help.

Gharlene, would you mind proposing fixed builds for those that no longer work with the 3.5 changes? I still need to read a lot of the SRD...

Ranger 8 / Monk 12 is what my new character will be shooting for.

BAB - +17
Saves - +14/+14/+10

TWF & ITWF**
2 Favored Enemies
Track
Endurance
Wild Empathy
Animal Companion (although much less powerful than Rng 20)
Spells (only 1st and 2nd, but can still use scrolls/wands of any spells on the list, quite handy i.e. wand of cure serious wounds)
Woodland Stride (move through overgrowth quickly)
Swift Tracker
3 Monk Bonus Feats (Improved Grapple or Stun Fist, Deflect Arrows or combat Reflexes, Improved Trip or Disarm)
Still Mind (+2 vs enchantment)
Purity of Body - Immune to disease
Wholeness of Body - Heal own HP
Evasion/Improved Evasion
Diamond Body - Immune to Disease
Abundant Step - Dim. Door 1/day
Slow Fall 60ft.
2d6 unarmed damage, +2 ac bonus, +40 ft speed
Greater Flurry**

Take Greater TWF as one of your feats along the way

That list of abilities is nice, but what i actually like is the nice number of attacks.

Normal - +17/+12/+7/+2
With Greater Flurry - +17/+17/+17/+12/+7/+2
With Greater Flurry & TWF (which does indeed stack)

+15/+15/+15/+15/+15/+15/+12/+7/+2 (Nine attacks)

One thing i'm not sure of, i dont know if i should be applying the extra 3 twf attacks to the flurry attacks or not, should it be this instead?

+15/+15/+15/+15/+12/+12/+7/+7/+2? I hope not, but it may be the case.

Anyways, its not the most effective TWF build, but i like it, and the essential Ranger and MOnk stats are pretty much the same (Dex, Wis, STR & Con to a less extent). Let me know what you think.

A Holy Ranger!

One who has spent time as a justice-seeking bounty hunter and also spent time serving the temple of his deity. Justiciar of Taiiai is a PrC in the Deities & Demigods book.

Ranger11 / Justiciar8 / Templar1

1. BAB +18
2. TWF Short Swords (to accomodate the +3d6 SA)
3. 3rd Level Ranger Spells, 4th Level Justiciar Spells, & 1st Level Templar Spells.
4. Weapon Specialization: Short Sword
5. Combat Sense +6 to Attack & AC vs. any 1 Opponent (whoo!)
6. Can cast 2 Augury & 1 Divination per day.

This build needs the Education feat in order to meet the pre-req.'s for both Justiciar and Templar. Combat Sense & Power Attack are a nice combo at CS +4 and CS +6. Even with the 3.5 nerf to TWF/Power Attack. You can max out your key Scout/Stealth skills in this build - Hide, Move Silently, Search, & Spot.

All 3 classes in this build have 2 good saves. Your final saves are: FORT +15, REFL +9, WILL +11.

Muck, if you need any sections bolstered up with builds, just holler. I can make some for you if you like.

Snow

Two Weapon Fighters and Hunters are in need of a few more builds.

I'll work on something for the Hunters tomorrow.

These builds are nice, simple, and versatile:

Ranger3/Paladin2/Templar1/Blade Dancer10/Singh Rager4
_________

Ranger3/Monk7/Shou Disciple5/Templar1/Singh Rager4
_________

Ranger4/Sacred Fist8/Verdant Lord8 (OK, this one isn't mine...)
_________

Not as strong as some I admit but fun nonetheless.
