my DM probably still has it, we played a few adventures there about a year ago
it was quite detailed, from distance it appeared like a black/white coin, time flowed differently there, based on the phases of Noctos. It was the city of artists, quite cosmopolitan, there lived creatures like feelenstials, slivers, shards, eladrins, asrai (when Oceanus flows), lillendi, mortai, firestars, flickers, foo and werecreatures, and underground fensirs etc. That sounds like an amazing article and I wish I could find a copy of it. Anyway, I'll stop digressing now and let the thread get back on topic.

Well, the mountains certainly exist, because the glacier wouldn't have covered them entirely. As far as other features, I'm not so sure. We didn't plan any significant advances for the Great Glacier in the last century, and there's very little in the text of the FRCG about it.
Here's my thinking: I have to regard our current map as a loose artistic rendition, not necessarily to be trusted in such details. I wish that weren't the case, but that's how the ball lies. Thanks Rich!

Some amount of material from DDi/DRAGON/DUNGEON will likely be collected and published in paper eventually. When that happens, or whether this particular article would be included, I couldn't say right now. Rich,
Are you talking about a Dragon Annual Compilation which would take any type of Dragon article (like the Dungeon one that has popped up on Amazon), or something like a "Grand Almanac of the Realms" which would be FR-specific articles?

Hey Rich,
I am really full of questions about Abeir, because I find it fascinating, so here goes:
1) During the time it was "gone", was Abeir in a different cosmology than the Realms (that is was it tied to the Realms' standard outer planes)?
2) Where is Abeir (the planet) now? Is it in Realmsspace?
3) Are there Drow in Abeir? Does Abeir have an underdark of its own, or does the old Maztican underdark lead to its surface?
4) With the absence of both gods and primordials (outside of a few cultists whose prayers are, as far as we know, not being answered) who are the primary healer-types in Abeir? Are there clerics (aside from Faerun imports) and paladins, and if so, of what powers? Can anyone (outside of Faerun imports) raise the dead?
5) Where do the souls of Abeirian dead go when they die? Presumably to the Fugue Plane, but normally the punishment reserved for the Faithless is pretty much supposed to be (I think) for those who had the opportunity to worship/acknowledge gods, but never got around to it; this seems a bit unfair to those Abeirians who have no idea the gods exist.
That's all for now...I got lots more but I figured I'd wait to see if you can answer any of these, first :)

Hi Rich,
I have a few questions regarding Selune.
1) Now that Selune has ascended to Greater Godhood and reabsorbed what was left of Mystra, could Selune become a new goddess of magic?
2) Is Selune now back to being equal in power to Shar or more powerful? Mystra was one of the most powerful goddesses and seemed to be more powerful than Shar.
3) Will Selune now play a more prominent role in 4E Realms? There has never been much written about her or her clergy but with the rise of the Shadows & Shar's influence, I could see Selune becoming a major force for good in the Realms. She could fill in the void Mystra left and even take on her clergy.
4) Any chance we can see a "Core Beliefs: Selune" in a future Dragon magazine. I love the Core Beliefs articles that used to run in the paper Dragon. it would make a great addition to the online one especially highlighting gods like Selune that never seems to get much exposure.
And now a non-Selune question....
1) It seems like all psionic material has been wiped even more from the Realms in 4E - the Yaun-ti city is gone. Ghostwise Halflings no longer have natural telepathy. Jhaamdath is still in ruins. Hardly any mention of duergar.
Will some psionic-oriented material be revealed for the Realms??
Thanks Rich!

Ghostwise Halflings no longer have natural telepathy. Except for the one in Rich's novel! :D

Hello Mr. Baker: I have for some time been meaning to congratulate you on the "Last Mythal" trilogy. What I most enjoyed about the series was the sense of epic adventures through the planes reminiscent of my favorite author, Michael Moorcock. The characters were also nicely detailed and believable, Kudos. Hopefully there will be more on Araevin in the near future, LOL. I also wanted to ask about the fate of my favorite goddess, Eilistraee.
I thank you and congratulate you on your hard work and your interest in the questions of the fans.

I thank you and congratulate you on your hard work and your interest in the questions of the fans. Oh, kind soul. Just in case you need the basic info straight up, I believe the most recent Eilistraee novel trilogy is called "The Lady Penitent" and the author is Lisa Smedman. (Here's a link to the first: http://www.amazon.com/Sacrifice-Widow-F … 0786942509 .) If you want spoilers, a quick search of these forums will probably provide those.
If you've already read all that and are asking for further story details from Mr. Baker on Eilistraee, I'll shut my trap and let the thread work its magic on that and your Last Mythal comments. I only posted just in case. ;)

-Hey, Rich, just wondering, since I know the WotC building is in Renton, and since you work there, you must live nearby: Ever been to Jimi Hendrix' grave?

I would like to know if the powers-that-beTM have any plans on revealing who her followers are now worshipping.
As it stands, I'd still like to thank Mr. Baker for his novels and his insight.
