This thread was created to post your versions of the NPCs found in any of the Forgotten Realms books or magazines. You can also request stats for an NPC. We will keep an index here in the first post which will be updated regularly. This will allow you to easily see what NPCs have already been posted and where to find them. The original Realms NPC Characters thread can be found in this link here
The index follows this announcement .... As you probably already know a decision was made by the powers-that-be in WotC that all discussion of novels is now banned on the FR forums. Also all debate and/or complaint about this decision is also banned. The WizO team feels strongly that people need to be able to refer to Realms Lore found in novels hen discussing many issues. What we have been aiming for when we wrote the clarifications to the rules is that people should be able to refer to information in novels along with information from other sources. This means no talk about the books as publications and works of literature; and no talk about subjects only found in books. Please read Novels - Important Info - Read This!!!! We understand it is very tempting to talk about people, places, spells and other subjects only found in the novels, but in order for us to retain permission to mention “novels lore” in the context of wider issues we have had to draw a very clear line. Talking about such subjects is too close to making comments about characterization and plot in the novels, which is what got us into this situation in the first place This means you cannot post stats for a character found only in a novel. You CAN talk about a character who is mentioned in other sources as well as a novel. It would be a huge help to the team if you mention the sources for your character when you post on this thread. Please don’t debate this decision on the boards. If you want to ask for clarification then send an email to one of the WizOs. If you want to comment on the original decision about novels you can email custserv@wizards.comor write a letter to the Wizards of the Coast Book Publishing Department, P.O. Box 707, Renton, WA 98057-0707
Index For This Thread The index has been completed but is likely to be updated with new NPCs so keep watching this space for new arrivals! Official NPCs are 2E or novel NPCs who have received full 3E or 3.5E official stats or have been given stats by an FR designer.

He knows all the spells created by Khelben that he is capable of casting. Other two rare spells he has learned are fool’s gold and a variant of bladeweave [CAd], which he calls bladesong. (Both spells can be found in WotC’s website, although the latter one has been updated and renamed in Complete Adventurer. In Danilo’s variant version, the school remains the same as bladeweave but the subschool is considered to be figment rather than pattern, as well as producing magical music in combat. Danilo always chooses a ribald ballad.) Possessions:Singing Sword, masterwork dagger, Danilo’s green bag (bag of holding [type IV]), lesser Harper pin. Description: Danilo is about 30 years old, of average build, and stands 6 feet tall. He has well-styled flaxen hair, mocking gray eyes, and a strong tenor voice. At his hip is a sword and a green leather bag, and a dagger is in his boot. Hidden under his tunic, pinned to his shirt, is a lesser Harper pin. Note: Danilo has not chosen to take a familiar as of yet. Danilo’s Green Bag: This green leather bag is a bag of holding (type IV), and it contains a myriad of items, such as his spellbooks, numerous items of clothing (all very well made and expensive), a snuffbox, three ornate silver flasks (containing brandy, Rivengut, and Moonshae Moonshine), pairs of dice (one pair loaded), jewelry and other accessories that would complement any outfit known on Toril, snares, several potions of cure light wounds, cure moderate wounds, cure serious wounds, and neutralize poison, writing paper to compose songs, herbs for cooking, cooking wine, and much, much more. Moderate conjuration; CL 9th; Craft Wondrous Item, Leomund’s secret chest; Price 10,000 gp
The Singing Sword: Danilo owns a +2 harmonizing longsword that was originally enchanted to sing a Turmish battle song to inspire others and negate the magical singing of creatures such as harpies and sirens. Danilo changed the enchantment so that the sword now sings a very ribald ballad about a knight and his enchanted lance. One of the his favorite tricks is to loan the sword to the best fighter in the group (usually someone very strait-laced, such as Elaith) and enjoy the look on his face as he fights horrible creatures while the sword bursts out with several verses of this lurid ditty. Source: City of Splendors: Waterdeep (3.5) Faint illusion; CL 6th; Craft Magic Arms and Armor, ghost sound; Price 18,315 gp

The Citadel of the Mists: If not obscured by its namesake mists, the Citadel appears as a slim triangle of three towers jutting from two large buildings and an enclosed courtyard. The tallest tower houses the aerie for the Mistmaster’s pegasi, and this (as well as its egress into the Citadel) is heavily guarded by air and fire elementals. The Citadel was built in its current form only 75 years ago, and it rests upon the foundations of an ancient elven fortress. Beneath the castle are ancient cellars and passageways belonging to the stronghold that preceded the Citadel at this location. These under-tunnels have been blocked repeatedly, and no one has walked these halls in nearly 3,000 years. Guarded by both monstrous guardians and mighty magic at all quarters above and below, the Citadel is cloaked in swirling mists whenever the Mistmaster wishes.
The Wards of the Citadel of the Mists Component | Cost Arointed Spells Spells with the death descriptor | 15,000 gp Evocation spells* | 30,000 gp * Keyed component; a character in possession of a ward token or sitting upon the capstone can ignore this arointed effect and cast normally. Prevalent Spells Antipathy (against lawful evil, neutral evil, | 72,000 gp and chaotic evil creatures, keyed to demons, devils, drow, giants, goblinoids, orcs, and trolls) False vision | 5,000 gp Vanguard Spells Summon monster IX* (air elementals only) 3/day | 8,100 gp * Keyed component; a character who sits upon the capstone can be the only one to summon the air elementals. Prevalent Powers Obscuring mist* | 10,000 gp Solid fog* | 40,000 gp * Keyed component; a character who sits upon the capstone can be the only one to conjure the mists or fog.
The total cost for the component is 180,100 gp. Dividing this value by 1,000 yields a Spellcraft DC modifier of +180. Adding the modifier to the base Spellcraft DC of 25 brings the DC to 205. The ward extend for 1,000 feet in all directions, increasing the area of emanation from 100 feet to 1,000 feet and adding +36 to the DC. Thus, the total Spellcraft DC is 241. The Citadel of the Mists’ wards are anchored and fitted with a capstone. This drops the DC to 161 (3/4x241-20). The mitigating factors for the Citadel of the Mists’ mythal include an expenditure of 8,700 XP (-87), plus the cooperation of one additional wizard casting a 9th-level spell (-17), one additional wizard casting an 8th-level spells (-15), one additional wizard casting a 5th-level spell (-9), one additional wizard casting a 4th-level spell (-7), and one additional wizard casting a 1st-level spell (-1). Applying these factors gives a final Spellcraft DC of 25. This means the value of creating this particular raise mythal spell requires the expenditure of 225,000 gp and 9,000 XP, plus 5 days of research. The capstone for the Citadel of the Mists is known as the Misthrone. Anybody sitting upon the throne can summon air elementals and control the mists surrounding the area. He can change the obscuring mist to solid fog and vice versa as a free action.

Khazid'hea, a.k.a. Cutter: +2 Keen Adamantine Longsword; AL CN; Int 17, Wis 10, Cha 17; Telepathy (Khazid'hea appears to lack the ability to speak or read); 120 ft. darkvision and hearing; Ego score 17. Lesser Powers: Khazid'hea grants its wielder free use of the Cleave, Great Cleave, and Improved Sunder feats. Special Purpose: Defeat/slay all (other than the item and wielder). Dedicated Power: Cause Rage in wielder as wizard spell. Personality: Taken from Dantrag Baenre, a drow battle master, Khazid'hea has little personality of which to speak. The blade longs for little more than the chaos of battle and the blood of foes, and it constantly eggs its wielder into battle and is jealous of any kill for which it is not responsible. However, the blade makes little distinction between friend and foe and is likely to demand its wielder battle allies when all enemies have fallen. The blade grants its wielder the benefits of rage only if the wielder agrees to kill all "foes" or the blade is dominant. If Khazid'hea is dominated by its wielder, it alters its pommel to better suit the aesthetic tastes of its new master. Source: The Lone Drow: Companions of the Hall by Thomas M.
