Inside the tower waited the mad alchemist and his creatures. Here Jackal grasps a golem by its head and holds it down in the pit of acid which the alchemist had for disposing of other waste.

After looting the Alchemist's Tower, the party fled at the sound of a large and approaching party of horsemen. On the road northward they found a burning crossroads village under attack from ghouls and direbats. (Illustration by Brad Bishop)
