These events were not published, I believe, because WotC wishes to keep this period open for Dungeon Masters and novelists to flesh out. So why then am I posting them on my Twitter account? Because I feel this lore would be more useful in your hands than locked away on my hard drive. I think that's nice of you, although I don't use Twitter (and don't plan to start). I also think it's nice of gomez and others to post the, um, "tweets" here.
Thank you.

that's interesting, haven't heard about him in a while Ivar Devorast? I hated that character and the whole philosophy behind his trilogy.* So, I can't honestly say I'm glad he's still showing up (not in my Realms, but still...).
No one should take that personally, though.
*If someone wants to know why, please PM me--I don't want to derail the topic.

Non-sentient creations are incapable of 'being' evil. It may be used for evil, but it is not evil in and of itself...
Suck it up and drive on.

Tell that to HAL 9000 or Skynet... or The Matrix... Or Colossus: The Forbin Project... It WILL achieve a psuedo-intelligence, and eventually suck out our brains!!!

I'm sometimes into conspiracies and when something like twitter gains so much popularity in short time and it's promoted everywhere, it's not good

oh, never bothered thoroughly reading the last book, it was annoying, still it was nice to see about a profession in the Realms and not some dungeon crawl

BRJ is using Twitter (which I just became a member of to follow the timeline) to show us what was used as a baseline for the current Realms. He also just posted what can only be described as his own argument that what he's posting ought to be considered canon.
So let's ask the obvious question: if Eric Boyd were to do the same, would it be considered canon? What about Sean Reynolds? Or Steve Schend? Or Rich Baker?
I'm willing to say, on the limited amount of work that I've seen from Mr. James, that each of those designers are better than he is. And I don't even mean that in any kind of insult to Mr. James. Purely a matter of opinion.
My point is simple: Mr. James doesn't get to decide what's canonical in the Realms. Nor do I.
I'm no fan of the 4E Realms. But it's not my property, nor is it that of Mr. James. None of those other Realms designers have deigned to add confusion to the canon. It would be best if no one did.
