Its all Photoshop, and many, MANY hours of building a 'tile set' using the terrain off the canon map available for Free Download as well. It has taken me two years to perfect my '3e style'... and now I'm looking to find my own style.

I know I'm resurrecting an old thread, but I need some help in this area too. I am looking to make my pc's background story something like a former mafia leg-breaker or enforcer. I just don't know of any mafia type crime organizations. I'm looking at organizations that would partake in : racketeering, weapons trafficing, gambling, prostitution, blackmail, drug running, human trafficing, political corruption, funding evil scientists and embezzelment. I would make up my own, but the DM insists that I have a "real" crime organization.

well you could go with the Yakuza. I don't know much about Kara-Tur, so I just googled it and the wikipedia entry mentioned the Yakuza with two different nations, so that might be your easiest bet. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kara-Tur
