I understand Tyr is killed defending Celestia from fiends, so was the Triad broken? Also it says in the GHotR, that Ilmatar left the Triad and went to Sune, but in 4e Forgotten Realms it says he's back with Torm. Is the new triad torm, Ilmatar and Bahamut?

I haven't heard that a new triad has "officially" formed. That said, that doesn't mean you can't make a triad for your own game.

There's still no indication of what's meant by "upper realms" in the book. Could mean Celestia, or could mean northern parts of Faerun (like Narfell and such, which have a long history with demon infestation).

As for the Triad, while Ilmater's back, I don't think it's been reformed, seeing as how both Ilmater and Bahamut are Good rather than Lawful Good. All three having a matching alignment, again, would probably be a prime requirement before there could be a Triad, again. Although yes, a new Triad with Torm, Ilmater, and Bahamut would be nice.

-I never liked Ilmater in the Triad. Seems a little out of place. Not because of his outlook on things, but just because of who he is.

Which book do you mean? If we're talking about the same thing, I would assume it's simply another term for the astral sea.

FRCG, "when defending the upper realms against an overwhelming demonic incursion". Seems to me that that can be taken to mean either A) the Astral Sea. Celestia or roundabouts, or B) The upper parts of the Forgotten Realms, northern Faerun. Referencing places like Impiltur, Narfell, and the Great Dale.

That's not fair... I recently started reading the Emperean Odussey and I liked the concept of the Triad. I liked it cause it is
a)a crusade vs evil
b)a crusade of compasion even for their true enemies the demons and try to convert them to celestial beings...

Ilmater was the one in the triad that was not furious towards evil.
As deity of martyrdom he made the evil beings to feel the suffering they caused, and that was the greatest weapon the triad had to make evil beings want to attone.

And I would like to play that kind of exalted hero in 4e. So any more hints about the reformation or not of the Triad are vital for me too.

Any update?

I don't understand why FR is so black and white. So the mentality of violent acts and such, are simply just for genetics that you are born with to do evil. No other reason than just the want to of doing wrong. How dumb is that?
Well since you were born a demon, looks like you got some murdering to do! So retarded....honestly, the same with the color of the dragons from "The year of the rouge dragons". So.....Gold and Silver are the good guys....can that be anymore lame? What you are, should never decide who you are.
