I seem to recall that it was called Luruar on one of the 3e maps, and possibly briefly in a sourcebook. Figured that was its formal name, but the Silver Marches was its more 'common' name.

As to what constitutes appeal to female gamers... probably several answers to that, but for starters, I'm hoping we keep the strong female percentage of rulership over various cities and townships for one, positions of authority in ecclessiastic circles, a good presence among famous adventurers, maybe a shade more representation among major NPC villains would be nice as well (Scyullua or however you spelled that was a good touch really, though the reference to her as the "***** in the trees" was very offputting for many of the women I knew... heard that one endlessly.), stuff along those lines I suppose is the sort of stuff my wife was referring to.

We discussed it somewhat at length, and to keep this somewhat reasonable in length, she mentioned that women tend to prefer to know about personal relationships and details of people and societies, while men tend to prefer to know about heirarchical (is that a word?) relationships and details of places and things. It was made as a very broad generalization mind you, but I think it held at least a grain of truth to it.

-Thanks Rich. May 6th huh? I didn't know that was the release date. I guess I know what novel to be on the look out for! The Article on Angels in 4E is pretty sweeet!

Elven High Mage as Epic Path sounds good. Thank you..

I bought Swordmage from Finland in a Gaming/Fantasy Book Store, I was suprised that it was released since I thought it was coming out in May too, but they said that it had arrived early. So I just quickly bought one for myself and started reading rightaway... :D

Few Questions :
Spellscared another great and interesting Idea, I dont know if ppl have already asked these but here they are.
- Do all Spellscars have positive or negative effect or both?
- And are some Spellscars only cosmetic or do they all start that way and develop from that, sort of like Dragonmarks of Eberron?
- And Can any Race/Creature get/manifest a Spellscar?
- Also Can you give any examples of Spellscars?

Dragonborns, Great Finally a Dragonlike race to playwith.
- Are Dragonborn in 4th Ed. FR same as Dragonborn in 4th Edition D&D or is there some changes in rules.
- What does the Architecture of Dragonborn look in FR.

Sorcerers, Hopefully soon, considering they arent released in PH1 I dont know how much you can tell me about them but here goes anyway... :D
- Are there many Sorcerers in 4th Edition of FR or are they sort of rarity.
- Are Sorcerers in FR gonna be same as those released in PH2 or DDI or is there gonna be some major differences?
- Is there maybe gonna be some links between Sorcerers, Spellscared, Spellplague maybe?
- Did the Spellplague harm Sorcerers the sameway it did with Wizards, like make them lose they spells, make them go mad, etc...
- And If there are references to Sorcerers in 4th Edition FR books or do we get a Update about them in FR when they are released for normal D&D Rules?

Few Questions about Magic
- Can you still make Skyships, Flying Cities and Mythals in 4th Edition, Like in form of High Level Rituals/Item Crafing?
Or are those that survived the last ones.. Considering that most of those were made with higher than 9th level spells, and by old rules Mystra sort of prohibited them unless you used Epic Spells.

- From previews I gathered Shadow Weave is still somewhere there, Do you have to choose which Weave you are using when you create a Spellcaster or is Shadow Weave still obtainable through Feats.

Also, Richard Do you have a site, forum or mail where ppl can ask you about your novels, since this forum isnt for them?

Okay, I think thats enough for now..

Hello. Would you provide a reference for who (associated with WotC) said that or in what document? As yet, I had not read or been told that. Thanks.

I believe he also said Elminster, for example, will still be around, with a minimal stat block. Such NPCs aren't gone, just not detailed for encounters. Thus, I assume, they remain part of the lore, that posters have jumped to conclusion when claiming that they are gone from the campaign, or that we will be informed why they don't deal personally with every challenge.

I still don't see what the point of contention is here, sorry.

Whew! That's a lot all at one go.

First of all: Thanks for clarifying on where you got the book. I've noticed that Finland, Denmark, and a couple of other countries also get stuff early, so I guess I'm not surprised.

I'm going to duck the questions on spellscars and dragonborn for now, because I don't want to scoop too much too soon.

Regarding sorcerers, yes, they're still around in 4e realms. They were affected much as wizards were affected by the Spellplague, but with the passage of time, they've also "reinvented" their spellcasting. They'll match up with core D&D sorcerers for the most part, no special rules sets for FR sorcerers are planned. A few sorcerers are mentioned in the upcoming FR Campaign Guide, and I featured one as a character in Swordmage.

The Shadow Weave is still out there, in a manner of speaking. It's basically going to survive into 4e as the Shadow power source (as opposed to the Arcane power source). So necromancers, and possibly illusionists, may appear as "wizardly"-type characters who draw on the Shadow power source instead of the Arcane power source.

Finally, I don't have a website of my own, but you can find some discussion of my novels over at www.candlekeep.com. I suppose I ought to get off my duff and build myself a website one of these days.

-The Weave does not exist come the 4e Forgotten Realms.

I see your point there, but I'm going to play devil's advocate (I am after all a woman myself) and remind those who didn't like it that the guy being quoted is an evil villain. I guess my point is, would it be better if he was a "non-sexist" evil villain? Fzoul isn't nice, and he's the type who would knock those who fail him (especially to make it look like he wasn't in part at fault).

True enough, can't say I found it particularly offensive myself, evil and all that, but it did upset several of the women I know, for whatever reason. Not all of them, not even half, but the 6-7 of those upset ranted about it ad nauseum, so I figured it was worth mentioning.

Of course. It makes for an interesting discussion.
