"And of course, as mentioned elsewhere, if you're running 64 bit Vista, you'll need to wait for our first patch. (Details in Randy's blog tonight)."
Can someone point me to Randy's Blog, I can't find it.

Thanks, I looked in the staff blog entries and didn't see it. Always is the most obvious answer.

Just a note that I've encountered the same problem today after a cold restart. In case it matters, I'm on an HP laptop running XP with all the latest updates, a top-of-the-line video card, 1 gig memory, plenty of hard drive space, and an Intel Pentium 4 CPU. Dave

I went to http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dn … terbuilder and already have a DnDi subscription but still can't find the link for the Character builder download. All I get is a link to the "suscribe" page (even though the top right corner says im already logged into DnDi) and a link to a flash picture gallery of char builder screenshots. I've heard if you log out and back in, the link to the download appears.

Keep up the good work!

Dave Hello,
I get the same message, I have Vista (32-bit), 9 GB free on the hard drive and 2 gig memory. Downloaded the .net 3.5 sp1 full package (235mb) directly from MS and have tried all that is recommended here as far as updating windows and making a clean installation of the builder. Please, any suggestions would be helpful- could this be a settings issue? Obviously it is not a Vista issue, if Dave is getting the same message. Thank you and hopefully someone can help.

You have .net 3.5 SP1 installed? (and not just .net 3.5?)

Hello Elf. I'm positive it is 3.5 sp1. Unfortunately, i know very little about .net.
When I have unistalled it, it shows up in the remove programs 'section' of Vista as .net 3.5 sp1 (and there are no other versions shown in that area, such as 1.1 or 2.0- could that be the problem?).
Also, in Windows Features section, the box checked is for .net 3.0 and there is no reference to 3.5 sp1. However, 3.5 sp1 is reflected in the updates section as a recent update.
Not sure if this is relevant at all or if I'm even making sense. : )
Any suggestions would be cooool!
