I only have three items: Better Custom Data - Ideally, I would like tools to allow my custom data to be included in calculations. However, even the ability to load outside data files that have been hand coded (see PCGen), would still be great. Editable Character Sheet and Power Cards - We need the ability to edit the character sheet directly. This could be a feature of the sheet viewer. If we can't get the first item (Better Custom Data) soon, then this would be a great stop gap until that's available. Even an editable PDF would be a good compromise. Improved Power Cards - remove all the extra check boxes, etc. You could use colour coded boarders for the powers. The check boxes are redundant and a little confusing. The recently taken down Ema web site ( www.emass-web.com) had a great layout for power cards. I strongly recommend you use that as a template. I think a power card for any summoned creatures would be useful, one for each power that has the summoning key word. Ideally, it would have all the defences, movement, etc, in addition to the attacks.

[LIST=1]
Choose the power cards to print, even the implicit ones (Basic Attack). On a higher level character, the listing of class/race features becomes useless. Allow that panel to become bigger. Echoing a popular one: remove irrelevant text from the power cards, and make more space for the conditional riders. I don't need to know that it was 2[W] at 21st level, I don't need to know that the power does +Mod_Con if I'm wielding a hammer... if I'm wielding a hammer, add it in. If not, don't. I do need to know that I get +wis on OAs, +1 when my back's to a wall, and so on. Custom Content. More ability to work around bugs. Custom content could do that, as could the ability to edit the calculated numbers on the sheet. But I've got some situations where the basic cards are calculated correctly, but certain powers are just all wrong.... so I need to be able to edit the power card to fix that.

Practical gameplay runs by neither RAW or RAI, but rather "A Compromise Between The Gist Of The Rule As I Recall Getting The Impression Of It That One Time I Read It And What Jerry Says He Remembers, Whatever, We'll Look It Up Later If Any Of Us Still Give A Damn." Erachima

...Not sure if this was previously stated (though I suspect it may have been), I'd like to customize the power card sized character sheet, adding some details, perhaps even a landscape format. Heck, a Landscape format for all the cards would be great. And there was at least one guy complaining about the size of the print. 3x5 index card sized power cards option, please. Something that would print on the available 3x5 index card sheets you can buy and "punch out" for your printer... I was just thinking about this (or a very similar thought) a day or two ago. A lot of printers (mine included) have the option to print directly onto 3x5 cards and it would save a ton of cutting if I could print directly onto them instead of printing to cardstock and then cutting out each card.

I'd love a way to put my character into another format, such as a word doc or a pdf.

I'd really like to see the ability to customize the sheet at a design level. I'm not talking about the the ability to manipulate the layout. It's a great ability, and I have some things to say about it, but I'm talking about fonts, colors and boarders. A black and white sheet is great an all for photocopying and printing in B&W printers or grayscale color printers to save some ink. However, if you take a look at my custom sheet here, you'll see what I mean about color, font and design. There's a cohesive design in 4e, and I don't see why that can't carry over to the character sheets and power cards. For a sheet designed to be manipulated the way the current CB sheet is, my sheet don't exactly work... and mine isn't perfect for everyone. (I had about 20 hour playtime in 4e when I last updated it.) However, there's no reason we should see the fonts and colors from the PHB in it. The colors work very well, and subtle shades can really highlight key areas. Blocks of information all blend together in a stark B&W sheet. The blues and light tans I pulled from the PHB can really set sections apart. And there's no reason other key colors couldn't be brought in. The Adventure's Vault replaces the PHB blue with green, and Martial Power brings in a purple color that could be used well. Maybe even give the players a choice of "themes" tied to different product designs. Graphic elements from the books could be used as well in place of solid bars. The builder has a lot of potential, but I feel the design of the actual sheets is lacking. Now, what I do like its the ability to modify the layout of the sheet, but a little limited at the moment. Being able to add lines to fields, subtract lines, expand/contract sections to be wider or narrower would be very nice and really expand the usefulness of the sheet. In addition to what I said about about sheet design and fonts, I'd like the ability to pick from my system fonts for the fonts that are used in filling out the sheet. And possibly even make changes on a per section basis. Choose the font, color, style, etc... Power Cards need some serious formatting work. Pre-existing powers shouldn't fill in the equivalent of a blank card. For example, Bastion of Defense shouldn't even have the blast, burst or ranged icons on the card at all. I'd like to see lines like "Attack" have a space after them to separate it from the "Hit" line. Again for "Effect". Alternately, use the design format of the powers in the PHB where alternate portions of the power are either over white, or the light tan. Put key elements on the cards in bold. (i.e.: Attack: Strength vs. AC) One a related note, let us choose to use the abbreviations in the text entries for the sheet and power cards. I don't know about anyone else, but myself and my players find that at a glance, STR and CHA are much more obvious and clear that there's a stat interaction in the middle of a power block or ability description than their spelled out equivalents. (The above example would read: Attack: STR vs. AC) There's a lot of other good ideas for the sheet, but I'm seeing those voiced already. Not a lot being said about the design, and just wanted to add my Thanks! P.S. - Let us print multiple character summary cards and action point cards please! Summary card for the DM and ourselves. Action point cards for the times you actually have more than one.
Stay Frosty!

1. Option to create character on higher level with more friendly interface or just working diffrent than normal leveling. I mean all this retraing... Can't we just have 3 encounter (1 is paragon), 3 dailies (1 is paragon) etc at 21 lvl to choose form? What with feats? By the rules you can add all stats togheter and then take any feats you want and don't worry what lvl you are taking it. Now I can't take freakin' plate amor profinency even by retrain couse I can do only one at lvl 21. Give us option. Max. 2 epic feats, the rest paragon...Wouldn't it be more simpler then? Now I still need to go to my books or open all feats list and add it as house rule...
2,3,4,5) Look above. Or change creating hero rules so I can sleep well :D

One little change....I'd like the "level up" section in the "manage" tab to be on the first page of the "build" tab. I often build characters that start at a level higher than one...I'd like to be able to put that information in right away instead of skipping around to update. It is only a minor inconvenience but I think it makes sense to move it.

I would like to add my desire to the others to see the ability to create and share user content in Character Builder. Even the lamented e-tools had the ability to create all kinds of user content, that would actually crunch into the program. So pretty please, with sugar on top, add this functionality to CB. +1

My updated list of top 5 things:
Greater Homemade Item Implementation. This stays at the top of my list. Just being able to add defense or attack bonuses would be a great start - getting into other features (bonus languages, dealing thunder damage, etc...) would be nice, too.
Modifying/moving/copying Power Cards. This is my second greatest desire. I want to be able to change the power cards. I want to be able to add a second copy of some cards, hide certain power cards, change the border color of cards, alter text on cards, etc...
Wrap Text in Panels / Change size of Panels. I don't wanty text to trail off the side of a feat, ability, etc... I want the text to wrap. I also want to be able to change the size of a panel to add or remove lines (to extend or shrink the feat area, etc...)
Alternative panel designs. I want a few options for some of our panel choices. Specifically, I want trimmed down HP, Defense, Attribute, Skills, Powers, etc... panels.
Ritual Cards. I want to be able to see all of my rituals as cards.
D&D & Boardgames If I have everything I need to run great games for many years without repeating stuff, why do I need to buy anything right now?
