R&D has asked that the errata for the Dungeon/Dragon articles be placed in a separate forum, hence this forum.

If you are the first to note an errata for an article, start a thread here with the following format:

Dragon XXX - Name of Article

I have a question, are old issues of online dragon and dungeon worth mentioning here? If I make a thread about the mistake in the Yeenoghu stat block (missing ability that is mentioned under the bloodied value, the little Y has a similar ability, but that one isn´t missing), how are the chances that it will ever be corrected?
The reason why I care is that Dragon and Dungeon are RAW, and to some point accessable in RPGA games - the Tymora paragon path in the Backdrop Cormyr still doesn´t follow the rules for paragon paths.

Edit: Just checked the compiled again to be sure, it´s still there, and the mistake was in the first 10 post to the article back when it came out - I am really grald we got this forum.

Presumable R&D asked mudbunny to create this forum so that people reading the main thread for each article won't see all the community found errors.

Clearly the reason wasn't to use this forum to clean up mistakes in the articles. I pointed out a very simple typo (Tally or Taffy in Expeditionary Dispatches Dragon 367) and even that wasn't fixed in the compiled version.

Sigh.

*I didn't see the thread on DDi discussing this. Sorry for putting this in the wrong location.

I'm not a regular, and this is kinda confusing to me.

Mudbunny, is Tom correct?

I mean clearly, one would want the PDFs to be updated by R&D.

But if they aren't, well then they aren't. I just want to know one way or the other.

(I'm a Paizo guy that doesn't hate 4E, you see. And Paizo will do some updated corrections to PDFs, but not a lot. A great deal of their errata is handled on the messageboards. And the Editors are very responsive, but there are man hour resources that they have to take into consideration too, because they have a small staff. Its something I've come to accept gracefully. But the reason I bring it up is, that in this case, I won't hold WOTC to any higher standard than I do Paizo. Lol, the Marketing Department can make of that what they will.)

In a perfect world I would love for WOTC R&D to correct the PDFs, but if the intent is for us to get our errata from the forums, then I won't expect the PDF to be corrected and won't get angry when they're not.

I just want to know what my expectation should be.

According to what I was told by Solice, the purpose of this forum was to enable the .pdfs to be updated between publishing on the web and the compendium being compiled. I poked Solice a couple of weeks ago to let her know that we have seen neither hide nor hair of any WotC staff in these forums at all.

I will poke her again and see if I can get her to go "Red Ross" on the R&D guys, considering they specifically asked for the errata to be in a seperate forum.

Just going through the threads, and I noticed that the Sage Advice Team showed up in one of the Gladiator Articles, but that is it.

Fair warning, Scales of War spoilers ahead... players, don't read my post.

Just want to add that it would be quite lovely indeed to get at least some feedback from R&D. In a perfect world, it'd be great to have the mistakes addressed in the compiled version (expecially for huge gaping plot holes like not giving a brass key to your players in the Bordrin's Watch Scales of War campaign) but in an imperfect one, it would be at least nice to see someone drop in and post about what the intention was for situations with no obvious fix, like this incomplete sentence in Shadow Rift of Umbraforge:

When a creature is first bloodied, it must make a
successful

Thanks for reading.

Curious about this, Dungeon/Dragon information is compiled and goes into the compendium will there ever be errata on it again?

Or is the only way for anything to be officially corrected going to be if it goes into an official book? For instance we have warforged now, and they have been here for a couple months now, when Eberron comes out they could include new warforged race and this would override the previous Dragon Article, but is there no way for this to be errata'd or corrected before such time?

If it is possible for this to be errata'd after the fact, is there anyway to find out about changes other than combing the compendium, and comparing what it says to your previous dragon magazines you saved.
