I've downloaded and tested quite a bunch of apps from the internet. All free and fun made.
I must say yours is pretty good.
PROS: Fast, Easy to use, Manages well the conditions and it's endings.
CONS: No way to load characters from the DDI Character Builder.
And let me expand on that Con. If I were able to load my characters with this tool I wouldn't have to use the buggy CB to check and look through all my players PCs. A players says, "I use this feat and this power to do this". Normally, a player could be mistaken, so I like to take a look at the feat and power right away, to rule something. In most other combat planners I used, this can be done, navigating throught the DDI character sheet (embedded in the program) and expand all the features, each one linking directly to the Compendium entry, and opening this URL embedded also.
Most of this programs also load all the monsters from the compendium, giving you a list from where to choose. I find this very very useful and time saving.
Besides this. GREAT work. Please gives us more of your talent.

Sounds like you need to get your guys on iplay4e, then you can easily do this. When pulling an iplay4e character, inCombat will allow you to use the iplay4e interface as the "Compendium Entry", which links off to the Compendium entries for powers, weapons, everything.
Most of this programs also load all the monsters from the compendium, giving you a list from where to choose. I find this very very useful and time saving. Yeah, I'm just waiting for them to finish publishing the authentication methods portion of their API. Then I plan to add a "Search Compendium" option when adding creatures. It'll function a lot like the iplay4e functionality. Hopefully they'll publish that soon, but until then I don't want to go to the effort of coding a temporary fix. I've already coded prototype stuff to pull a monster's stats automatically based upon a pasted Compendium URL, but the authentication stuff can make it goofy, so I'm holding back on it.
Please gives us more of your talent. I realize this was probably a typo, but you made me chuckle by sounding like Gollum.
Thanks for the comments,
Andrew

I just wanted to tell you how awesome this app is. I am the DM for my group and I ran it yesterday during our game, after our player who owns the magnetic initiative tracker left. This app was infinitely better. One player said I was able to track his current HP better than he was.
I definitely found the marking, ongoing conditions, and reminders to be very helpful.
I guess if I had to make a recommendation, it would be to bring up the "edit character" screen by double clicking on the character's name in the initiative chart. But that is just a minor, cosmetic recommendation. I only mention it because I intuitively expected it to happen when I double clicked there, and was surprised when nothing happened.
Hand's down, this is the best home-made D&D digital app out there. And I've looked at a lot of them. This one will definitely become a major part of our games. I plan on using it exclusively from now on.

I found a couple of more bugs and some more requests. -Readying an action and then using it, should not change their location in the initiative string. If this is impossible to the fact that the use action is tied to both Ready Action and Delay Turn, I would recommend getting rid of ready action and just having people keep track of it manually. -After combat the initiative value stays the same... it would be cool if it would reset to 1 or 0 when you hit stop (or a prompt to do so in the screen that comes up) so that I can easily keep track of who hasn't rolled yet once a new combat begins. -entering a negative value in the set HP box, makes it 0. This is a minor thing, but it would be better if I could just enter the value whatever it is. -When a character enters the dying condition, the ongoing effect box clears anything written within. This can be quite annoying, especially when they have ongoing damage. Which still applies during the dying condition. -and just for continiuity's sake: -Add ability to paste images into inCombat 4e from the Monster Builder -Ability to add new characters during combat -Ability to copy characters during combat

Actually, using a Readied action does change your initiative.

Nod, good suggestion.

I see Dalzig already answered this...

Yeah, I like that. I'll give the option of setting them to 0.
entering a negative value in the set HP box, makes it 0. This is a minor thing, but it would be better if I could just enter the value whatever it is. It's an issue with Flash's numericstepper component. I haven't found a way around it. I do set the "minimum" value of the component to either -Bloodied or 0, but the stepper won't go negative. If I find a work-around I'll fix it, but until then...
When a character enters the dying condition, the ongoing effect box clears anything written within. This can be quite annoying, especially when they have ongoing damage. Which still applies during the dying condition. Interesting. Definitely not anything I'm purposefully doing. Maybe it's a leftover from when I first started coding it.
and just for continiuity's sake:
-Add ability to paste images into inCombat 4e from the Monster Builder -Ability to add new characters during combat -Ability to copy characters during combat Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Huh, my mistake, I trusted my DM to be correct... aww well!
Yeah, I like that. I'll give the option of setting them to 0. Cool!

Possibly, I just noticed it last session because there was a lot of ongoing damage and everyone that went below 0 had it removed from the ongoing effects box...

Now that we're back from the spectacularly mishandled forum upgrade, I can officially push out v0.96 of inCombat. As usual, users of the AIR version will recieve update notification automatically. Added/Fixed in v0.96:
- Added ability to paste images from Monster Builder into the Character Details tab (AIR version only)
- Added ability to add new characters during combat
- Added ability to copy NPCs during combat
- Fixed the HP numericstepper component so that it can display negative values for PCs
- Added option to reset PC initiatives to 0 when ending an encounter
- Double-clicking on a character now brings up the "Edit Character" dialog box
To Be Added (Version TBD):
- Add a "Search Compendium" functionality when adding new creatures
- Add/finish the "Search iplay4e" functionality when adding new PCs
Rejected Feature Requests:
- Rename "Defenses" column to "AC/Fort/Ref/Will" - Reason: Requested text takes too much column space. Defense text boxes have been retained on the Character Data tab for correlation to the Defenses column.
- Rename "Delay Action" button to "Delay Turn" - Reason: Using "Action" nomenclature allows common use of the "Use Action" button without change of label. Addition of a separate "Take Turn" button undesirable due to layout priorities.
- Add application rescaling in order to support smaller display sizes - Reason: True rescaling would require additional height in order to support a smaller width, violating the original reason of the request. A smaller width version of inCombat, with no rescaling may be possible following release of the default version.
- Support for ongoing damage and regeneration. - Reason: The massive amount of differing damage/healing types makes this nearly impossible to align with the program goal of minimal DM clicks per action. The ongoing effects text box allows handling of all such conditions in a clean manner.
- Add a "Player View" showing only PC stats - Reason: Outside of program scope.

I dont know if there has been a request of this yet. But can you group NPCs to "act" together instead of one at a time?
