Thread necromancy or not, they really should make an official announcement wheter they plan to finish the game table or not. Leaving the players in suspense is worse than even plainly saying no we scrapped the project sorry but we dont have the ime to develop it. Its like when somone stops in the middle of their sentence and instead of finishing it they decide to walk away leaving you wondering what on earth they were going to say for the next 3 or so years.

Wizards deserves to get punched in the junk for this. Announce it, retract it, stay completely silent... it's like they are pulling a Starcraft 2 or something.
I've gone from "I have to have this!" to "I couldn't care less, except the way they treat their customers is a shame." Way to fail, WoTC. Shame on you.

Thread flame wars aside... is it not hilarious that somebody made the comparison 8 months ago to a vaporware product which is now no longer vapor?

Very true. Even Duke Nukem Forever seems to be getting a new lease of life.
What will VTT fans use for vapourware comparison now?

I didn't play much 3/3.5 (I was too busy being a new father) but weren't they actually released in some form. I remember getting a cd in the 3e PHB with the Char Gen demo on it.
