You can absolutely print monsters from the monster builder. Just press the print button.
You can print both custom monsters and existing monsters.
You can in addition, copy and paste monsters as RTF or image simply by right clicking the monster list.
And yes you can make monsters elite with the click of a drop down menu and it does the math for you (the same drop down also has solo and minion on it).

I have just one more important question? does it work offline? What I mean is does it have to have access to DDI to function?

I'm flabbergasted that the people that have issues with WoTC and how they communicate are the also the same people that miss all the information, even though they visit the forums every single day, sometimes all day long.

Mike, does it use the DMG1 or DMG2 math?
Can it convert solos to standards?
If I remember correctly, in general it uses the DMG 2 math. Not sure about the changing a curent solo to standards though -have to check on that.
