OK - I have read the forums and have taken all the advise of people to try and cancel my account. I have been trying for 3 days.

I have tried the accounts system on 3 seperate browers on 3 seperate OS on 2 different computers in 2 different locations of the UK. Still a cycle of errors.

So, I have ruled the fact that it is my computer or settings. I have called the number 3 times from the UK to be left on hold.

There appears to be no contactable email addresses or any simple contact us forms - does anyone have any other suggestions as this is going to end up costing me more than a damn years subscription.

Kind regards

I have no idea either. Calling them from what I can tell does not do anything. As bad as it sounds it seems to me they are waiting until January to milk everyone for the extra month:P

I know thats a bit crass to say but its what it seems. A web form that does not work, customer service that does not pick up the phone, ive sent direct emails on the topic without any response.

Hi,
I'm really sorry you're having issues using the Knowledge Base to cancel your DDI account.

Here is the link to the article that might help you with some of the issues you are experiencing: http://wizards.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/wiz … _faqid=501

I'll quote it here for you.

If you are having trouble accessing the E-mail Us Tab, be sure that your system meets the following minimum requirements:

*
Security Setting: Cookies Enabled
*
PC - Internet Explorer 5.0 - 6.0 or Netscape 4.78 - 7.0
*
Mac - Internet Explorer 5.1+ (OS 9) 5.2+ (OS X), or Netscape 7.0, or Safari 1.0 (OS X)

When changing security or Internet settings with your browser, be sure to restart your browser application and you may have to restart your entire computer system for the changes to take affect.

Here is the link to stopping auto-renew: http://wizards.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/wiz … faqid=1435

I hope the suggestions enable you to cancel your account.

This is not funny anymore.

Any of the links provided end up with a technical error page. That includes, the autorenewal cancellation form and accessing the help page once it has asked for my security details. Clicking the E-Mail us tab leads me to my account details page. The Wizards help system link comes back with the same error message.

Anyone else really cheesed off with this runaround?

Is there a direct customer service email link availible? I need to cancel my subscription (which I have been more than happy with) as I've fallen on hard times. I've tried 4 different computers, 3 different ISPs, 3 different programs (IE, Opera, Firefox) and had no success whatsoever.

I've deleted my billing credit card info and tried to cancel my gleemax account as a precautionary measure. Still everything comes up as an error. I cannot turn off auto-renewel, and it is going to cause me financial problems.

If ORCS are worried about email spam, could you please send me a private message. The help system is broken, and the contact email sends me into a continual loop.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Do you have popups blocked? I just went to the customer support system that WizO_Wyvern posted (http://wizards.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/...p?p_faqid=1435). It took me to the knowledgebase answer for canceling a subscription to D&Di. In that answer I clicked the "click here to open the form" link.

That opened up the accounts.gleemax.com in which I needed to login. Once logged in the page updated to the Update User Information. While there I noticed a firefox telling me it blocked a pop-up. I allowed the pop-up and it opened to the Customer Support System form for canceling a D&Di subscription.

While on the Update User Information page, I am also able to click the "Wizards Help System" and it brings me to the cancellation form.

Where in this process are you getting errors?

Another way is to go directly to their Customer Support System (make sure you are logged in; If you are logged in you will see "Logged in as: YourName" in the upper right corner just below the tabs) and click the "Email-Us" tab. From there select in the drop down boxes:

RolePlaying Games
--D&D Insider
----D&D Insider Account
------Subscription.

You will now be on the form you need to cancel your subscription. Make sure you fill in the message section stating clearly what you want to do.

Cancel Answer]You will need to provide your first name, last name, and the last five digits of the credit card used when you purchased your D&D Insider subscription.

In the subject and message fields please indicate that you want to stop the auto-renew feature of your subscription. You should recieve a response within two days of submitting the request.

Thanks for the replies.

The error I am getting is the 'Technical Problem close browser and try again'.

I have tried it with several browsers and it has the same error. I have followed all the technical advice step by step.

I am quite certain now that this is a server side issue as it appears to be multiple OS's multiple browers's diffrernt manchines and ISP's.

As a temp measure I have contacted my bank and asked that any transactions from them be stopped. This they have assured me does not breach any contract or TOC as they do not provide me with a current option to cancel.

Don't know what more I can do now...

I know the error. I'm wondering where in the process are you seeing it.

Opening up the Knowledgebased Answer provided by WizO_Wyvern.?

Being sent to accounts.gleemax.com to login?

Being redirected to Update User Information after being logged in?

Clicking "Wizards Help System" or allowing the pop-up once on the Update User Information?

Hitting Submit once on the cancellation form? (This one I can't try)

If I knew where you were seeing it I might be able to help. (Might being the operative word)

Also have you tried the direct route that I provided in the second half of my post.

Anyone else think it's...rather rediculous to have a 'required' browser in order to cancel a subscription?
