OK. I think it's cool you can make a custom character and have it be your game table miniature. Neat. I hope the character you make appears on your character sheet (likely I'm guessing).
What would be really cool though: Make it so that if people want to, you can order your miniature. That would be - amazing.
I know it's unlikely, but who knows? It would be really cool.

Also, will the game table show spell areas? For instance, you cast fireball - it would be cool if you could position where the fireball will be cast, so you can see what it will hit. Cone effects, in particular, would be helpful. In the future we will be using 3D printers - they will print pieces by accumulating layers. You would get your own miniature at home, with your printer! :D

After checking out the YouTube vids, I gotta say it's rather unimpressive for 9.95 a month. I mean, sure, you get other content too, but considering printing costs, 9.95 better net me some Oblivion/EVE Online/Fallout 3 style 3D character and face editors.

Sharing Access Codes I play D&D with my wife. We are not going to buy two copies of all your rule books, but I do expect us both to be able to make characters with them. Likewise, I know a father and son who play together, and two brothers in high school. In neither case should Dad have to buy multiple copies of the books.
This is very important, if you want families to play your game together (which I think you should). Also, not everyone in a given group will have every book; and we'll never live in a world where they do.
Please allow registered owners to share their codes (and revoke them) with a limited number of D&D Insider accounts (2-4 more than enough) to address these issues. It can be a control panel in the account information sections: Books Owned (and who you're sharing them with), plus notice of Books Shared With You.

I know it's unlikely, but who knows? It would be really cool. I remember hearing that Spore is going to allow you to do something like this. You can create a creature and then purchase a model of it.

A share access to stuff deal so that you can give a few people access (this helps to avoid screwing the dm from being able to track what a person's character is doing).

They want more books sold.
Maybe you should use the account of your friend/lover/parent/relative and have many characters in the same profile :P

I used the 3.0 character generator that was available in the 3.0 players handbook. What I liked was the ability to put in a class, race, and level and then it knew how many feats, skill points, etc and then I could chose from there.
This was great, however, you do need the ability to expand with each new expansion (complete whatever). Also, when you make these changes, the output needs to be able to be printed on a two page (front and back) sheet, that will go to most printers.
One thing that does bother me about too much web content. I work with computers all day long. I want to go play RPG games (D&D, star wars, etc) to get away from computers and have interaction with friends around a real kitchen table or go to a con and be at a real table with real people.
If everything goes to too much web interaction and computers then it may be time to get a new hobby.

Sorry, I misreaded "character creation"
Anyway I would like to have two character sheets, one for roleplaying with name, aligment and stuff and other with stats. The thing is to handle both things apart.
