I don't get the intent of bundling all this stuff together. Dragon is for all players, but dungeon is aimed at DMs. This system seems to say that if a player wants to subscribe as well, they have to pay for dungeon, so might as well read those parts too... Which removes some of the appeal of using the dungeon adventures.
Put simply: bundling this content just doesn't make sense to me. Also, I really am reluctant to purchase e-content site unseen. Will there be a way to sample/review the content to determine interest level before purchasing it. If it is purchased and turns out of no interest is there a way to 'return' it? I'd need to see regular content of very high quality to convince me that this site unseen arrangement can work for me. Frankly, it will take a lot to convince me in the next four months, but we'll see.

This also means that the next few issues of Dragon and Dungeon will be available online for free (I have to imagine) until the subscription services start. You can use that time to judge for yourself if it'll be worth it.

Finally, the page is up. But I can't log into the Insider. When I fill the e-mail and start filling the password it switches e-mail to guest! Because the volume of traffic to our site is quite high at the moment we have temporarily enabled a single "Guest" sign-in to help decrease the load on the servers. We will fully activate the login feature when the server load normalizes sometime this coming week.
Sorry for any invonvience.

I was wondering ... in addition to Dungeon and Dragon mags ... will there be any other digital magazines? Perhaps for d20 Modern/Star Wars? Maybe a ressurection of the old Ares part off Dragon?

Excuse me as I hop in here. So what do you guys think of the new monster designs we've seen? I have to say I really do enjoy the new troll compared to current 3rd edition looks. Don't know about the beholder... he's all trying to be in my face intense style! But non the less still pretty cool. I just can't wait to see my favorite monsters done... Oh the anticipation to see this editions orcs... I hope they move Orogs back to the core books. Also I hope Ogres get the same treatment the trolls have... What do you guys think?

Oh yeah? Do you remember how much were (monthly) both magazines? This is at least one half of the price and they promise more content, but we will see. They were on paper. They had to be shipped. Both of these are non-existent costs for Wizards. The payscale for writers is not going up meaningfully, and given the inaccessibility of the website over the last few days, it is hard to trust that the extra money is going into the servers and staff necessary to keep the DnDinsider site up.
But they are still working on it and I am content, at the moment, to give them some time.

They *least* they could do for these magazines would be to include content/adventures for *each* of the campaign worlds in every issue. Why would I pay that much ($9.95/issue) for Eberron or Greyhawk modules, especially if they require tremendous efforts to convert properly into FR? That is less a problem of media and more a problem of how adventures are written. I've always thought that adventures (whether or not published in Dungeon Magazine or as a standalone adventure) should have a section on world conversion.
One adventure that (I don't recall if it was part of the adventure or written here on the boards) follow this concept is Red Hand of Doom. Generic locales, but lots of information on placing it in the Forgotten Realms - good stuff.

As exciting as Dungeon #151 sounds, I'm more excited about Dragon #360. The Demonomicon continues!

There's an interview about Dungeon and Dragon online. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3n_tTin2ZNk Not too many details, but something, especially all of the adventures in dungeon will be importable into the gaming table.
