What do people think of the different familiars? I've got my eye on book imp, dragonling and falcon as particularly tasty.

I have had a book imp for 3 levels so far, but have not used him that much in his active form. The fire resistance was nice since i once used it to bring my flaming sphere right next to me when I was surrounded by enemies and was out of immediate interrupts. The bonus to arcana and history has helped a couple of times as well. But so far he has just not done much as far as roleplaying.
I like the wisp for warlocks a lot and if we ever restart the campaign I am in where I play a feylock I hope to get one, but I am just about to level 4 in that one so it will be a while. At level 11 that would give my warlock an at will teleport 2 when combined with the new level 10 at will teleport utlity. No more shifting for that halfling!

I'm personally in love with the idea of the Shadow Incarnate. There's just too much comedy potential there not to have it. The Book Imp is a certain favorite as lower levels though.
To err is human. To fail a Fear save is unforgivable!

Haven't quite read through the whole thread yet, so someone might have already mentioned this, but the Unseen Advantage paragon class feature for the Unseen Mage allows you to do extra damage to a target that cannot see you - not one that you cannot see. Pretty handy when coupled with the Veil daily...make a damage boosted attack, sustain, dissappear, do it again next turn.

Corellon's Implement - Gives you the longsword as an implement, which is redundant with the implement proficiency feats But Corellon's Implement has the advantage that the longsword works like an implement, you have the arcane implement mastery with (orb, wand or staff). While the feat only let you use the longsword as an implement, but not like an implement with arcane implement mastery. So I don't think it's redundant. Or did I get something wrong?

That's right; unless you're an Eladrin wand wizard Corellon's Implement gives a big boost over picking up swords as implements through a feat.
Even Eladrin wand wizards may want it if they want the Mastery boost from Second Implement (say, orbs) and have a different off hand implement (say, Staff of Ruin).

Didnt see this corrected earlier,
But Unseen Mage paragon path, you note that the Unseen Advantage ability is bad because you can only use it against invisible enemies.
I think you misread it. The ability says you deal extra damage TO creature that cannot see you.
Considering the paragon path, that is at least a black, if not blue ability.

I appreciate you putting this guide together Klivian. Your work is appreciated.
I'd still like to lobby for the Level 5 Daily power Visions of Avarice
This is an amazing control power. Definitely deserves dark blue or even light blue. I don't even play a Wizard, and I see it's already been dark-blued, but I just saw Visions of Avarice for the first time today in LFR, mod AGLA 1-4. The party was facing certain doom in the last battle because we were horrendously undermanned, and then our wizard dropped this and completely neutered the encounter.
Since I'm not like some posters who are against upgrades of player power, I thought it was absolutely fantastic, and much more like how magic ought to be in this game compared to the PHB1 wizard powers.
Anyway, the range, sustain minor, and immob prompt me to vote this sky-blue.

Maybe you should mention "Planeshifter" PP?
"Sequester", is maybe the best encounter power in the game if you have "Orb of Imposition" as your Arcane Implement Mastery. The ability to banish an enemy forever every singel encounter is really kick ass! And if you miss you could use "Orb of Inescapable Consequences". If you have a Taclord with you it will be even more epic win.
Whenever you introduce a new creature, you should be very specific in your descriptions so that players know if this is something for them to fight or have sex with.
