All righty how's this?

The hammer replacement is PERFECT.  The only thing missing is the head swap.  Need the good pally's head on this body (the clean-shaven, blonde).  Thank you SO much.  Compared to the work swapping those weapons, I imagine the head swap will be a piece of cake.!  Definitely deserving of bonus cookies!

Also LOVED the color change of the handle wrapping from blue to red to match the armor accent changes.  Hadn't even thought about that, but really like the thoughtfulness that went into that effect change.  Kudos!

Generic question for your photoshoppers out there.  My daughter's drawing tablet came with Photoshop Elements 7 and Corel Painter Essentials 4 and Nik Color Effects Pro.  Are these tools sufficient to learn to do some of my own Photoshopping myself, or does most of what you all are doing require the full Photoshop CS line of products?

I have a few minor color/texture changes I want to do on a few pics, but don't want to keep bothering the excellent photoshoppers here if they are things I can do myself (asking you guys to do these types of things is like hiring a fireballing wizard to light one's cigarette)...LOL

Blessings,

Thatcher

Here is my first try at photo-editing with the tools at hand.  Took the dwarf picture (whose weapons were perfect for my berserker corps) and flipped the image so the axe was in the right hand, added some blood effects to axe and dagger, selected and enlarged the dagger to make it a little more dangerous looking than the original, and tried to darken the color on the cloak from white to gray and the armor from red to brown leather. Here is the result:

I was kinda psyched at my first attempt at photoshopping.  Need to find some good tutorials to see what else I can do with the tools I have because I can't like $700 for the full Photoshop program.  We live overseas on a very limited income and that is just not an expense i can justify.

If anyone knows of a place with good online tutorial videos for Photoshop Elements 7 (or whatever functions still exist in the current version which I think is 11) I would appreciate a link or whatever.  Thanks again for all the work, sockmonkey, you have done with my pics so far.  Going to see if I can't figure out how to do the other things I need done on my own.  If I get stuck, I will yell for help.

Blessings,

Thatcher (David)

Ok, I thought just making the original guy blonde would do. Here's the final version.

You can look up tutorials for using Photoshop on youtube.

Perfect sockmonkey, thanks.  Yeah the blonde was fine but the beard was out of character for this particular individual.  Again, appreciate your help, you did a great job.

Hello dear artists

Could someone help me?

I need some meerians for my star wars adventure : The Meerians were a race of short, silver-haired near-human native to the planet Bandomeer. Their hair color ranged from pale silver to bright gold, and their skin was very pale, due to the lack of sunlight on their planet. Their eyes did not have pupils, and often matched the color of the individual's hair.

- Remove background
- Change hair color
- Change skin color
- Change eyes (remove pupil and change color)

Thank you very very very much in advance !!!

Have a good day !

Dude, I wish I had that stuff. I have a fifteen-year-old version of Corel Photopaint 8, and I still don't know half of what it does... I've also been posting work in this thread since it started over three years ago.
Quite honestly, any photomanipulation program will allow you to do the stuff we do - recoloring, cutting/pasting, warping objects... The only difference is that the more bells and whistles a program has, the quicker and easier it is to do those things. There's really no reason to shell out the cash for a full current version of Photoshop unless you're using it in some professional capacity such as being a photographer or illustrator. In fact, there's actually a freeware version of Photoshop called GIMP that a lot of people use. Like I said, short of professional work or becoming a serious digital artist, you can do perfectly fine with whatever programs you happen to lay hands on.

I started out years back drawing elf ears on art nudes and porn shots I grabbed off the internet by "hand" for a couple years before I learned how to cut and paste objects and recolor stuff - which I actually learned while posting pics in this thread. Learning to use your programs is simply a matter of finding a pic to experiment on and just pushing buttons to see what they do - pick one thing and practice it until you can get it to do what you want it to do consistently, then move on to another button. It's a bit like chess - learning how to do it is easy, learning to do it well takes practice.

Spoiler: Show

                           I am the Magic Man.
(Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain.)

                      I am the Lawnmower Man.
                            (I AM GOD HERE!)

                           I am the Skull God.
                           (Koo Koo Ka Choo)

There are reasons they call me Mad...
