How's about an old, grizzled Half-Elf Warlord whose Inspiring Word consists of him calling the ailing teammate a "Weakling", "Snot-Nosed Kid", "Pathetic B*****d", and other such nasty things to get them riled up so that they can hurt him later. Constantly laments how much better battles were fought in his day.

maybe somebody will help me out if i say please, I was pretty blunt before and for that I am sorry... You didn't do anything wrong. Sometimes it just takes time to find a picture that fits the description.
Some of the following pics make excellant Storm genasi (or Storm Genasi liches) from a variety of different classes. Unfortuantely, none of them seem to have equipment appropriate to your particular description. If you'd like I can do some editing on them (such as removing the 3rd eyes), but with pics this detailed, I may only be able to do so much (switching out or erasing a weapon would be extremely hard, if not impossible for my level of skill, for example).

Here's one I've been having trouble with. Male halfling paladin wielding a rapier with a shield. I'm fairly flexible with the armor anything from ringmail to plate would be fine but in the case of plate a simple cuirass would be preferred(chain the least favorite). He's from simple folk that work the family orchard but with a background of fighting undead in his family tree, something that he has embraced. These are the only two I could find that were anything close but neither really has the feel I am look for. #1 is a bit too cartoonie for me but generally fits the bill. A little more edge would be nice. #2 is fairly plain and seems like decent folk, not some flashy royal knight, which is what basically what I am looking for. Cons: totally wrong weapon and done in B&W. While I totally respect the skill of the artist I would like something in color so it feels more alive.

Male halfling paladin wielding a rapier with a shield. After an hour of searching and not being able to find anything to match your concept, I went ahead and MADE your concept.
What do you think? HOW I DID IT
Show
HOW I DID ITI took this image... ...and cropped out the halfling. Then, I erased any signs of other characters (such as fur cloaks and big boots) that were crossing over into my cropped section. I also erased the Mace lying across the halfling's waist and then "redrew" the waist. Next, I stole the rapier and its scabbard from this picture... ...and inserted the scabbard onto the halfling's waist, while putting the rapier in the snow a few feet away. I put just over an hour into this CUSTOM picture, so I sure hope you appreciate it.

Yeah, that one is pretty awesome. It could be him further into his adventuring career when he has found a solid set of armor instead of a heirloom piece. Where did the original come from? The problem I seem to run into most of the time is if I do find a pic a really like it's way too small and gets all pixelated if you blow it up. Like this one I just found a couple minutes ago, it's bigger than most I find but still smaller than the average pic from these threads.(turns out all I had to do was add "forgotten realms" to the search field) There are a lot of great pics on the wizards sites but they are all so damn tiny

Where did the original come from? It was drawn up by Jason Engle. I think it's in the 4E Dungeon Master's Guide somewhere.
Also, try this one on for size...

this time I got a group of requests, my current D&D group
male Dwarven infernal warlock heavily burned
Half elf paladin in black armor
female Human cleric to the raven queen
female elf ranger (archer spec)
black skinned dragonborn rogue I may try to find the others too (maybe someone will beat me to it ), but here is your Dwarven Hellock, for now.
He clearly has burns, you just can't see it under all of the flames. :P EDIT: Kegas76, if you'd like I can further modify my "halfling paladin in the snow" pic so that his shield is a different color and/or bears a different holy symbol.
