This probably isn't as good as most of the stuff on here, pretty simple work. I started with this base image Spoiler:

For my Firesoul Genasi Swordmage. Now before you go judging to much, I have absolutely no artistic talent. So go easy. Not even kidding, trees could draw better then me. I started with this picture  Added This fire to his sword.  And threw this in the background with a photoshop effect on it.  And ended up with this!  If you noticed at the top of the blade I took a few chunks out... That was actually and accident, that ended up looking really cool. In my opinion anyway.

Cool! How did you do the rings?
Elliptical select. Select>Modify>Border. Fill White. Copy/Paste. Rotate each one. Merge down. Set opacity to 60%. Layer Effect>Outer Glow. Set to Taste.
There you have it! Instant Psion!

are there any photoshop whizzes out there that want to take a stab doing a portrait for this character?
He's a tall, lanky, and lean human barbarian with short-cropped black hair. wears leather bracer and a very minimalist suit of hide armor. He's not very attractive and has a rather unsettling leer that shows the vile thoughts he is entertaining. the only weapon he uses is a polearm that ends in a spear, and he rarely cleans it. He doesn't take much better care of himself, he is generally dirty, scabbed, scarred, bleeding, and messy. He also wears a symbol of Gruumsh around his nexk, although it's not imperative it be on the picture.
If anyone could help me with any of this, I would really appreciate it.

How do you guys get the photos you make come up right on the forums, when i try to use photobucket it just gives em a link, is there a better place to upload them? or is there simply a way to put in a picture directly from your computer?
