The most obvious option is an Infernal Warlock. His patron is a slick and cunning devil that the warlock somehow manages to see wherever he goes. The devil helps raise him from an impovershed state, but the warlock is now leery of whether his patron's really giving him all this for free. The red right hand is a symbol of this devil's followers, something that the warlock recieves when he makes the pact.

Lyrically, this reminds me of a 3ed Bard with the Dirgesinger PrC. It very much reminds me of someone with a tormented past he's trying to forget, but it's that tormented past that also makes him so much of what he is...

For me, couldn't decide between either of these two...

Oh, this one is definitely a warlock. Infernal pact, but human so she can also use Eyebite (As her eyes are her ammunition and all). Very Much a punker b*tch type.

What I find most frustrating about 4E is that I can see it includes the D&D game I've always wanted to play, but the game is so lathered in tatical combat rules that I have thus far been unable to coax the game I want out.

That was a difficult one. I would say it isn't about a single character. It's about a lot of them suffering under the rule of an evil overlord who committed many atrocities during his war/take over.

That's actually good! It's still based only on the title and not the song itself, but I'm going to assume you currently have no access to Youtube, so that's fine! And it also makes complete sense, unlike the Satanistic Santa! Note: This is in no way meant to insult Abraham or anyone else. But really, how do you get satanic santa from "Decemberists: The Rake's Song"?

Now, I assume you meant this song? I would say a Paladin of one of the various gods of love, lets say Sune from Faerun. She knows she will most likely not see her god again until she dies, but she will always love her god completely.

I would say a Beastmaster Ranger, who has devoted so many feats to improving his Ape animal companion (technically some other kind of animal companion refluffed as an ape) that it is now smarted than he is.

Kind of weird how so many of these songs seem to fit warlock characters.

For "Start Wearing Purple," I picture a feylock or starlock by the name of Sophia who is required by her patron to wear the titular color at all times. Her grip on reality has significantly slackened, and she has developed a taste for the music and culture of the Vistani people (D&D's analogue for the Roma.)

I would say a Deva, possibly an Invoker or at least taking the Angelic Aspect pp, who wishes to reach enlightenment so he can truly rejoin his love in the Astral Sea.
