I plan on playing an Elf Avenger of the Raven Queen as soon as my lazy friend gets back to DMing.
I imagine his cloth armor would resemble overlapping black feathers (fanning out a bit on the shoulders). It would not have a hood, but instead an extremely high collar like the Punisher. Most likely wielding a Fullblade or Greatsword, not sure exactly how I want to spend my feats. Additionally, he would have a shaved head and many tattoos.

in case hot linking doesn't workThis is a drawing I did for an avenger character of mine that was raised by an evil cult. Her story isn't completely ironed out yet but the idea is that I want her to eventually find a more wholesome patron diety when she learns better, or something.

I hope to be playing an Avenger of the Undying Court, for those familiar with Eberron. They typically favour Black and Gold, so I picture him wearing black robes, possibly with leather over it (much like Altair of Assassin's Creed).
Honestly, Jedi and Sith come to mind. Voluminous robes on a sword-wielding badass. It's not uncommon for Aereni holy warriors (like my PC) to tattoo skulls on their faces, or even to alchemically alter their skin to appear more like undying/undead. I tend to prefer the skull tattoo, so I end up with a very "Darth Maul meets Altair" look.
I've posted a request for just such a PC portrait, so we'll see how that goes. :crosses fingers:
