Wow. I'm so glad I'm not the only one who thinks about this stuff on a regular basis. This is tough though.
All in all I'd say I have the heart of Dwarf Paladin, the mind of a Gnome Artificer/Wizard, and the life of Human Bard (I can't stay still, I'm a hopeless romantic, and music is a major influence on me). My ability scores don't really reflect my class and personality, though. If this were WoW, I'd say I was a Dwarf Paladin that always wanted to be a Gnome Mage engineer.
Ability Scores- Strength: 11 (I used to lift in high school, but I've kinda slipped out of it as of late)
Constitution: 16 (I actually laugh when I'm in pain. No joke. A lawnmower accident took off the back half of my right leg when I was young. That and a whole schlew of freak injuries has left me with a really high tolerance for pain. Ask me about it sometime.)
Dexterity: 8 (Alas, I'm not a ninja. My thievery, stealth, and acrobatics just aren't up to snuff. I'm pretty good with a bow and rifle though.)
Intelligence: 17 (I might not be the smartest guy, but I can promise you I'll always have a different perspective on things. I have really tough time thinking inside the box.)
Wisdom: 15 (Philosophy Major-comes with the territory :rolleye2: )
Charisma: 13 (Pretty good at persuading people and winning arguments, and I've had more leadership training than you would believe while I was in scouts. But I was never the popular kid in high school.)
Skills- Endurance (I can hold my breath for 3 minutes, I've done two 75 treks over the Laurel Mountain trail, I'm perfectly at home in cold climates, and though I can't sprint for miles on end, I'll kill myself trying before I quit)
Insight (I've got a knack for catching liers. This has less to do with wisdom and more to do with intelligence and manipulation, though.)
Diplomacy (Go to changingminds.org)
Dungeoneering (I started up a club in high school in which we would explore the hidden parts of the school (sand pits beneath the gym, boiler room, extended storage rooms). Also, my friends and I are always looking into old, abandoned, and possibly haunted places.)
Half-orc I have random learning disabilities (partial dyslexia and verbal things) so growing up I always felt like a dummy. xD Barbarian I'm a klutz, so rogue is out. I'm an atheist, so divine classes are out. I'm not very studious so wizard is out. I'm not much of an outdoors type so Ranger is out. And I'm not disciplined at all so fighter and monk are out. However I can say from experience that if in a fight I'm most comparable to a barbarian (hard to take down, I don't bother to dodge, and I pretty much just bash away, headbutt, grapple, etc, haha xD)
Stats: Str: 16 - I'm decently strong. I'm the designated heavy lifter in the family and in sparring with friends I hear "omfg you don't know your own strength" a lot o_O Dex: 10 - Seriously, I'm not very agile :/ Con: 14 - I'm not muscular or super active, and plus I smoke, but on the other hand I'm pretty big and resilient both to getting hurt and illness so I'd lean more towards a bonus. Int: 14 - I read a lot and have talked with a lot of interesting people and been through a lot in my life which has given me an open minded perspective. Wis: 10 - I'm honestly pretty clueless Cha: 16 - I'm pretty likable and friendly and have always kind of been a mediator in a lot of situations. At the same time people who are close friends now have told me that years ago they had seen me around at school or at local bands concerts but were too intimidated to say hi because of my height and beard and generally looking ****** off all the time :P
So, what am I? Probably a halfling. I ve allways seen myself as smaller than other people (even though that might no longer be the case most of the time), dont like being in a hurry and I m not intimidated easily (bold racial-feature.. heh, heh..). 14 years of martial arts training as the smallest one in the group does that to you I think. And I m probalby a Warlord. I hate warfare and guns, but I have a knack of getting people to do what I want and I ve done more first aid courses than I can remember. In team-sports (which I happen to do a lot) I try to mix tactics with leading by example, so I m probably a resourcefull warlord.
Str: 14 - I m rather small and light (67 kg is my fighting weight) but I can throw most people a lot further than I trust them. Con: 12 - I have a high pain tollerance, but I m not a long distance runner.
Dex: 14 - Good balance, agile feet and good hand-to-eye.coordination but poor manual dextery Int: 16 - Sometimes I m just to clever for my own good. Hanging out with mathematicians doesnt make it any better.
Wis 10 - Bad hearing and eyesight but I can be perseptive at times. Cha 16 - People just seem to listen to what I say most of the time, even if I m a bit bossy at times.
In high school, I totally related to the half-elf. Even if it never statiscally rocks, that's okay, because honestly I probably don't look like much on paper either, but that doesn't stop me from taking care of business.
Race: Half-Elf. While I am not the center of attention, I can handle myself in social situations, although I often feel like an outsider. I am open-minded and confident, plus I have long hair and I can't really grow a beard. Also, I place a lot of value on history, which to me relates to a half-elf's mysterious ancestory. I feel like my two families are very different, and I enjoy dim lighting and nighttime. Group Diplomcy may as well read Band Politics to me
Bard: No question about it. I've been in band since sixth grade and now I study music in college. I perform with jazz bands, symphonies, and popular music groups every day. I also have a love of lore and love picking up skills. Unfortunately, it would be a pain to haul a string bass through a dungeon.
Ability Scores: We all know 10 is average, but I don't see many characters that really reflect that. Anyways, I went with a 22 point-buy. STR 10 CON 14 I'd say average strength for a young man; I don't work out a lot, but I do a lot of heavy lifting without straining to much. I definately tougher than I am strong, but let's not forget I'm a half-elf so that's +2.
DEX 12 INT 16 Dexterity is a tough call, because I'm no gymnist, but I am good with my hands. Intelligence is probably my natural gift; I learned music through determination and study, not natural talent.
WIS 12 CHA 16 I'm not a wise man, but I keep myself out of trouble. I'm a Capricorn, and I am every bit as stubborn as a goat, so I need a nice Will defense. Though I am reluctant to throw myself into social situations, once the pressure is on, I find that it is quite easy to manage them. Again,I like being able to trace this to some heridtary trait for the +2. I feel like I am good at it, even though it seems to clash with my insecurities.
Skills: Bluff, Diplomacy, History, Insight, Streetwise I wanted to pick four, but this is them. I'm as good of a liar as I am a detective, but you have to do what you have to do when you are underage in a casino. You would think a country boy wouldn't have street smarts, but I've traveled a long ways and I have been to some of the biggest cities in the world. Even worse, Albany, GA was the US murder capital per capita for many yars, and they is about twenty minutes from the house.
Feats: Jack of All Trades, Awareness I pick up new skills with ease. Working as the "handy man" at a library and as a carpenter a bit gave me some skill with tools, while I have taken a long of business and computer classes. I love diversity in skills. I try to always be prepared; the only thing I really like about surprises is seeing them coming.
Race: Dwarf (I'm loyal and practical and like to take the long view of situations) Class: Wizard/Sorcerer (I've always been a huge reader and have always been intrigued by RL magical theories, but I'm creative and passionate) Stats: Str 12 (I'm fairly strong for my size but I'm definitely no Conan) Dex: 8 (I am a complete and utter klutz) Con: 13 (I'm fairly tough and am good at endurance-based exercise like hikes) Int: 13 (I was in several honor's classes in High School and enjoy mental exercises) Wis: 10 Cha: 13 (I can be quite charming when I put my mind to it).
So all in all, not really adventuring material but certainly not a redshirt either.
I am an evil little jerk, so I am a teifling. very charismatic when I feel like it, abnomaly intelligent, so fey warlock. stats cha 18, I can intimidate, bluff, convince people, write speeches well, and become the leader of almost anything. I am good debating. int 16, 1 intelligence per ten IQ, I lover reading and studying. wis 8 terrible, I have the common sense of a fool, I read while crossing streets, and my vision is terrible. I think it is one of my host of brain related disorders, don't ask. con 10, terrible physical endurance, but I get back up and I am resistant to pain. strength 6 I struggle with a single pushup dex 12 I am actually fairly flexible. I can dodge well, and I can do some cool tricks with my body that some people regard as inhuman.
I'm quick (Dex), I tend to rely on instinct (Wis), I enjoy archery and nature, and I'm very perceptive, so I'd say elf.
ME LIKE BREAK STUFF! and an interest in various groups of "barbarians" points to barbarian, while training to use a pair of scimitars says ranger. I get tougher when I'm angry and I'm not very charismatic, so I can rule out thaneborn barbarian. I'd say Rageblood Barbarian with Two-Weapon Warrior.
Str: 16. I'm a lot stronger than I look. Con: 15. I live by the mantra "What doesn't kill you only makes you stronger". So far, I ain't dead. Dex: 17. I'm pretty hard to hit. Int: 12. 1 int for every 10 IQ. Wis: 14. Perceptive, pragmatic, and fairly sensible. Cha: 10. I'm a good liar and a decent diplomat, but I don't mesh well with others.
Half-elf. I am equally at home in the city or the country, but torn between two heritages. I also adapt easily to new environments and tend to make new friends easily. Rogue- I am known in my circle as a broker of information. As well as book knowledge, I have my finger on the pulse of so much going on that affects us (my aforementioned circle). However, I'd have to say I fit the Brutal Scoundrel build. Get on my bad side and I'll take advantage of any weakness I discover in order to bring you down. Str-11: I'm used to physical labor, but I don't exercise regularly. I can lift more than most women my size and build, and have a decent endurance record, but nothing spectacular. Con- 16: Very healthy except for blood sugar, I've never needed a flu shot, rarely get sick, and can take a hell of a pounding. dex-13: I can dance a little, practice some yoga, and can tickle the ivories well enough to play at small gatherings. Int-18: I may be shooting high, but I pride myself on what I know. wis -20: In reference to the above, I know what I don't know, and am not afraid to admit it. wis 13: In reference to everything else. I know that no matter how much I learn, there's still so much more. Amassing knowledge is the only reason I want to live forever. Cha- 16- I have never been particularly physically attractive, yet I have never wanted for dates and boyfriends. In high school, I had people wanting to hang around with me who I didn't even know. (Of course, I had my share of enemies as well, but I choose to remember the friends.)
This is just my perpsective from within. I'm sure others who know me might have different scores.
Your stats are: STR:16 INT:17 WIS:14 DEX:14 CON:14 CHR:17
Charisma seems rather high, i would put it more around 15. And that's my Str when wrestled in high school, which is the last time i measured, it's probably down about a point now.
I'd be genasi tactical warlord, with extra manifestation feats. Passionate, logical, with borderline multiple personality disorder.
F-111 Interdictor Long (200+ squares) distance ally teleporter. With some warlord stuff. Broken in a plot way, not a power way. Thought Switch Higher level build that grants upto 14 attacks on turn 1. If your allies play along, it's broken. Elven Critters Crit op with crit generation. 5 of these will end anything. Broken. King Fisher Does an excellent job at keeping an enemy disabled in a few ways. Strong. Boominator Fun catch-22 booming blade build with either strong or completely broken damage depending on your reading. Very Distracting Warlock Lot's of dazing and major penalties to hit. Overpowered. Pocket Protector Pixie Stealth Knight. Maximizing the defender's aura by being in an ally's/enemy's square. Yakuza NinjIntimiAdin: Perma-stealth Striker that offers a little protection for ally's, and can intimidate bloodied enemies. Very Strong. Chargeburgler with cheese Ranged attacks at the end of a charge along with perma-stealth. Solid, could be overpowered if tweaked. Void Defender Defends giving a penalty to hit anyone but him, then removing himself from play. Can get somewhat broken in epic. Scry and Die Attacking from around corners, while staying hidden. Moderate to broken, depending on the situation. Skimisher Fly in, attack, and fly away. Also prevents enemies from coming close. Moderate to Broken depending on the enemy, but shouldn't make the game un-fun, as the rest of your team is at risk, and you have enough weaknesses. Indestructible Simply won't die, even if you sleep though combat. Sir Robin (Bravely Charge Away) He automatically slows and pushes an enemy (5 squares), while charging away. Hard to rate it's power level, since it's terrain dependent. Death's Gatekeeper A fun twist on a healic, making your party "unkillable". Overpowered to Broken, but shouldn't actually make the game un-fun, just TPK proof. Death's Gatekeeper mk2, (Stealth Edition) Make your party "unkillable", and you hidden, while doing solid damage. Stronger then the above, but also easier for a DM to shut down. Broken, until your DM get's enough of it. Domination and Death Dominate everything then kill them quickly. Only works @ 30, but is broken multiple ways. Battlemind Mc Prone-Daze Protecting your allies by keeping enemies away. Quite powerful. The Retaliator Getting hit deals more damage to the enemy then you receive yourself, and you can take plenty of hits. Heavy item dependency, Broken. Dead Kobold Transit Teleports 98 squares a turn, and can bring someone along for the ride. Not fully built, so i can't judge the power Psilent Guardian Protect your allies, while being invisible. Overpowered, possibly broken Unnamed Avenger|Runepriest/Hammer of Vengance Do lot's of damage while boosting your teams. Strong to slightly overpowered. Charedent BarrageA charging ardent. Fine in a normal team, overpowered if there are 2 together, and easily broken in teams of 5. Super Knight A tough, sticky, high damage knight. Strong. Super Duper Knight Basically the same as super knight, only far more broken. Mora, the unkillable avenger Solid damage, while being neigh indestuctable. Overpowered, but not broken. Swordburst Maximus At-Will Close Burst 3 that slide and prones. Protects allies with off actions. Strong, possibly over powered with the right party.
I don't know how to quantify my attributes exactly, so I will just give general indicators and justifications.
Race: Shifter: My politics, spirituality, and personal inclinations all revolve around freedom, land, and the journey yet to come.
Class: Ranger, Shaman or Druid MC'd with Warlord, Warden, Ranger, Shaman, or Druid: I did my degree in environmental studies and now am now training to teach Bush Lore (everything encompassed by the Nature skill) professionally. As the classes are primarily approaches to combat it is quite hard to translate many RL professions into classes. I am looking at the class list I just threw up there and I have a really hard time nailing it down. In RL, between my career direction and personal attributes, I probably relate more to the leader than anything else, but saying "Shaman" feels weird. I don't know.
Alignment: Good: Actively devoted to freedom and justice. Unconcerned with law and government.
Attributes: (1=highest 6=lowest) Physical attributes are more easily explained as they often have actual numbers to go along with them. Str: 3 or 4: deadlift-360lbs, squat-315lbs, bench press-225lbs Con: 6: I have neglected my endurance, it sits around the low end of normal Dex: 5: My agility, aim, balance, and flexibility are all normal
Mental attributes are hard to quantify, so its hard to get across why I think this is what the order looks like. Int: 1: I have had more comments and opportunities in this department than anything else. Wis: 3 or 4: I have a hard time telling what is covered by insight/perception and what is actually wis Cha: 2: I have very good communication skills and inspire confidence
Skills: Nature, Insight, History (the liberal arts skill), Diplomacy
Feat: Skill Focus (Nature)
Equipment: great axe (old school forester axe), atlatl and dart,
I think that covers the main issues. I am hardly optimized for any class I would actually be.
