Any chance of a screen shot being included int he first post to see what kind of thing this is prior to downloading? It looks like the official character sheet. Screenshots don't do anything for it (it's all functionality). The image at the website in the upper left is a partial screenshot of Character Sheet's first page.

Thanks for the explaination - and I understand more now what you have to deal with. Thanks for slaving away at this for the good of Gamers everywhere - You're doing a great job. (Figured some positive reinforcement might be more appreciated than "When's the next update???????" Take your time though and make sure you get to relax sometime - this thing is good enough that I for one, am willing to wait as long as it takes.)

Thanks for all your hard work. This is an awesome tool. Thanks, I'm glad you like it. I just finished class trained skill selection (pops up a dialog box to select the additional class skills to train). I've started working on the data format for basic armor and weapons. Next is general adventuring gear and other equipment, then working out magic item templates.

Seeing as I, yet again, didn't get to equipment, I've released an interim version, 0.7.9, with all the bug fixes and improvements made since 0.7.8. NOTE : .NET 3.5 SP1 is now required for all my .NET programs. Links to both the download page for SP1 as well as my D&D programs can be found here or in my sig.

Is there any chance when you do get to equipment, you'll include either a form for letting people enter their own equipment, or have it parse a properly formatted XML or similar file for adding equipment?
(If nothing else, being able to add third-party equipment lists would keep you from having to do everything yourself!)

(If nothing else, being able to add third-party equipment lists would keep you from having to do everything yourself!) I have on my todo list support for external data files. Essentially, when I get to it, I'll expose the internal DB format (it's an XML fragment file, essentially) and allow people to create their own data files that can be loaded either on demand or at program startup. This means people will be able to create more custom equipment, classes, powers, races - anything for which there can be data on (that's supported).

Just an update to make sure people don't think I've disappeared or abandoned anything - I've got the first stage of basic equipment handling in place. I'm next working on the method for setting specific equipment to be used (wearing armor, wielding weapons, etc) and having those bonuses applied appropriately.
