Yeah, version 0.7.7 was something of an abortion. I'll have 0.7.8 ready today or tomorrow, but also keep in mind that Character Sheet isn't aiming to do everything for you (the possibilities in what feats/powers can do is limitless and would be impractical to try to code everything). Certain things you'll simply have to do yourself, though the Toughness feat and Jack of all Trades feats ought to operate automatically.

Any chance of a version that works with Linux (specifically Ubuntu 8.04)? Cheers!

I've had a little testing done in Mono for Linux, and while it doesn't look anywhere as nice (Mono's rendering of WinForms is abysmal at best), it worked just fine. Do you have Mono for Ubuntu? If so, I'd love to hear back from you on any testing you do.

For those interested, I'd like to point out that I've released Encounter Manager version 0.3. The thread is located here.

1. Thanks for making this, it's awesome!
2. I just grabbed it and notice that the Toughness feat doesn't add the 5hp per tier
3. Dragonborn race doesn't grant the racial healing surge increase
4. Feats don't show exotic weapon proficiencies (ie, Rapier, Bastard Sword, Katar, etc...)

Keep up the good work, I'd love to use this tool categorically! Anything to make character generation easier is a very, very good thing.

This looks great. I've been waiting for wizards to do this since they released
4e. The only question I have is how do you get it to print out your character sheet?
Thanks for your hard work

Dare I say, why do you want all that in a separate text file when you have my excellent program to display and organize it all for you? =)

The most important reason why I don't allow copy and pasting wholesale is precisely to avoid the easy reproduction of the information presented in the application. If you haven't noticed, a lot of information is presented similarly and almost in its entirety from the PHB. I'd be in a lot of hot water if I allowed easy electronic redistribution of too much source material.

Edit : Oh, now I get it. You want to create monster template style formats off Character Sheet?

True, but it's hard to post the character sheet itself to a message board or such.

Yep, monster style and PC usable...

The standard Control-P keyboard shortcut or through the menu system File->Print works.

I'll have a look at it, just downloading Mono for Linux (thank goodness for Synaptic!). More to come...

It's come to my attention that printing isn't possible with the last few versions. After some checking, I've discovered that the menu options (and thus the keyboard shortcuts for them) are missing entirely. I'll be releasing an update to Character Sheet later on tonight to fix this.

Update : turns out the whole reason I disabled printing was because there was no elegant way to do it properly. There won't be an update release today, but hopefully in a few days.
