There is a "get a critical on a roll of 19 or 20" feat for most weapons. Is there an equivalent for Ki focuses?
Not as far as I am aware. Implement users are often pretty hosed on feats like this.
Worth noting, though, that if you're using your ki focus to power up attacks with the weapon keyword, those weapon crit feats work fine.
A number of arcane classes have those feats in epic (Sorcerer Implement Expertise or Wizard Implement Expertise for example), though they generally require a 15 in 2 stats beyond your primary one and I'm not familiar with one for Ki Foci.

I wanted to ask, mostly because I'm new and having trouble navigating the forums, but I is there a actual D&D 4E roleplaying section? where you can role play through typing with your own dice online?

You're looking for the play-by-post section... I don't have a link handy, but someone will be by shortly to link to it... (As an aside, most folks use dice-rolling programs when playing online)
Spoiler:
Show
I am the Magic Man. (Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain.)
I am the Lawnmower Man. (I AM GOD HERE!)
I am the Skull God. (Koo Koo Ka Choo)
There are reasons they call me Mad...

That was my sinking suspicion. Unfortunately, the two characters I am working on are a monk and a vampire, both of which do not use weapon attacks - solely implement

hey thanks for answering my questions earlier, ive decided to invest in things that are not edition exclusive. like battle mats and the dungeon masters tiles, and just keep to the basic core books. if any of my players want to go in a different direction. i can find the pdf online if they really want to make a character that is unique and comes from the "HEROS OPTION:" books

Another great option, which i use for the group i game with, is a group DDI account. Get a year long sub and split the cost amongst you and your friends. I don't charge my friends but they all have access to my account and keep their characters stored in my builder. The only downfall is when one or more are on it at the same time and it keeps bumping you.

Hello,
Need a quick reply here (trying to order before amazon cut off delivery time). I'm new to the game, only played once but ended up being the DM as I was the one that organised it and half an idea what was going on.
Q - If I were to buy one rule from the essentials range, which one should I get?
Thanks

Awesome, Thank you. Now I just need to hope it arrives before the game...
