Also the elemental hero book has elemental companions that work like familliars but have a feat in the book as a prerequeuisit instead of the arcane power source.

If you want to round out a 3-man party check out the companian character rules in DMG2.
It provides creation rules for sidekicks and henchmen that are usefull but should never overshadow thw PCs. They can be an out of work soldier working for beer money or a wolf you raised from a pup.
They do take their fair share of the EXP though, but you should level just as fast with an on level fight for 3 divided between 3 PCs and an on level fight for 5 between 3 PCs and 2 NPC henchmen.

Also the feybeat tamer theme in feywild has a permenent animal buddy following them and the Sidhe noble theme can summon a bodygaurd as a dailly.
The sea looks at the stabillity of the mountian and sighs.
The mountian watches the freedom of the sea and cries.

Hi, I have simple question!

At level 1 warden has power "Form of Winter's Herald". Effect of this power states:

"You assume the guardian form of winter’s herald until the end of the encounter. While you are in this form, you gain a +1 bonus to AC and resist 5 cold. In addition, each square within 2 squares of you, wherever you move, is difficult terrain for your enemies."

The keywords for this power is: ColdPolymorphPrimal

I'am interested in "each square within 2 squares of you". Does this part is affected line of sigt/effect machanic? It is not a zone nor aura. How should we treat it?

LOS, no.  LOE, yes.  The power doesn't specifically say it works without Line Of Effect, therefore the normal rules - that nothing works without Line Of Effect - remain in force.

Confused about Stealth?  Think "invisibility" means "take the mini off the board to make people guess?"  You need to check out The Rules Of Hidden Club.

Damage types and resistances:  A working house rule.

During an Extended Rest, you can swap out a prepared daily spell with another one in your spell book.  For example, if you have Sleep prepared, and Flaming Sphere in your spellbook, during an Extended Rest you can switch them.  Note that you only need your spellbook to swap spells, not to refresh them.

You get the same number of daily attack powers as everybody else.  A 1st level one, then a 5th level one when you reach that level, and so on.

Another day, another three or four entries to my Ignore List.

I read on the forum somewhere that warforged get another ability score in place of one of their others. I downloaded the latest rules update that I could find on the site, but that only covered drow and PHB races. My question is which  ability score is it that can get swapped out and for what? I don't have a DDI account  to check, before anyone mentions it

CON is fixed, you have the option of STR or INT.

Should a talenta sharrash have reach? It's the only polearm w/o it listed under properties in the Compendium. The pike is also Small and has Reach. Lastly, the description of polearms says: "Polearms are reach weapons." Any thoughts? Thanks in advance for any help.
