I had my money on a Rust Monster vs. Adamantine Dragon finale. Oh well, shows how much I know. Rust Monster woulda won, too. All you crazy people who think there's some crazy conspiracy to promote the adamantine dragon are just crazy.

Out of pure curiousity, you wouldn't happen to be the same Chris Perkins who wrote into dungeon magazine fairly often in the late 80's/early 90's would you? 'Cause that would be sweet.

I don't think there was a crazy conspiracy to promote it, which is certainly pretty silly talk! But I do think it was a poor choice to compete, given it was pretty guaranteed the win. Though I was surprised at the Rust Monster's early defeat, so I could be wrong...
...but it does seem a shame a truly interesting race isn't getting an article. On the other hand, maybe that should just inspire some of us to take up the task on behalf of the losers, and submit it to Dragon/Dungeon ourselves!

Yes, shamefully, that is me. Still writing for Dungeon, BTW. Edited it, too, for a while. Then I jumped over to the R&D team, where I could do even more damage.

I'm sad Frosty lost, an ecology of the Frost Giants would be great... Even though I wanted Remoaz to lose, I want that dragon destroyed.
Come on why have you all not voted frost giant, at least should'a got him to the finals.

Remorhazes are awesome, unique and have interesting anatomies. Dragons are boring, cliche and are getting a book on their drab anatomies already anyway.
This should be a no-brainer.
Also, it clearly states on the front page that "Remorhazes prey on dragons"

WotC knows who is going to win. They only put dragon-love in that little box in the corner. Addy Dragon has been winning by a lot. The staff can probably vote in this!
They need the Addy to win. They don't have the ecology articles written for any of the other monsters!
