Hi guys & gals,
i took the official character sheet and made (almost) every field fillable, it does some calculations also like adding your skill mods together and adding that nasty half level everywhere it applies. So it`s half interactive character sheet and a bit of a character generator. You still have to fill in the feats etc yourself, but it calculates your ability mods and defenses etc.
My question now is would WotC be against this, or am i free to post it here / send it to my friends? It IS WotC registered Stuff, and it's only free to photocopy. What i am doing is subsituting the pencil with a printer.
Second question, is there any demand for it? Not in a commercial sense of course...

I don't know for certain but I think if you aren't selling the sheet, it's fine. If it isn't then WotC will just ask you not to post it anymore.

Yeah, I believe that what you are doing would fall under fair use laws, and so long as you aren't trying to profit off of it, you should be in the clear.

I've seen sheets like this before, I think it's allowed. I would love to have it until the DDi version comes out that's linked to the rules database.

Post it. People here will defend you against WotC if any problems occur. (Maybe not in court, but at least you would have their moral support.)

Alright, here comes: http://rapidshare.com/files/122304797/C … w.pdf.htmlplease tell me what you think, and report any calculation errors. It was hammered in a hurry.. so there might be some flaws. Font can be altered at any time, i just like readability on my printouts, its kinda small anyways. Some notes: - If you fill out fields that have calculations, it will just override your entered value. - please enter HP Max, surge/surge value on your own, there are too many feats and other abilites involved to calculate that. - !!! the defenses are one step behind in calculations, meaning you will see the correct value if you change the next field value. !!! - just fill in the ability score you got, modifiers will be calculated. - i intentionally didnt make form fields for all the conditional effects and temporary stuff, like gold etc.
