Well, day 2 and no Arcane Power has hit the torrent sites yet. I guess WotC has succeeded in slowing down the piracy of their products. So far, so good. Day 3 of AP Watch 2009 and still no joy. Has WotC won the battle? Only time will tell.
How long do you think it will take for Arcane Power to show up on the torrent sites?
Don't believe everything you think

I hope WotC will manage their new way of electronic publishing soon. I hope there will be a legal option to download AP and E1 DR in electronic format in near future. I really like games via Fantasy Grounds

I really like games via Fantasy Grounds I am hearing of shipping problems all over the world.. so yes, i am sure this creates a bit of delay for the big pirates (they all seem to be in eastern europe, russia etc).. I am going to say we will see it over the weekend sometime, when people have a little more time to scan, upload and seed it. Any body who thinks it won;t get pirated is n some real heavy drugs, that i wish they would share.

PHB2 was pirated so fast you can don't have to search to find it. AP is still missing except for some claim that is "on a special site only I can find but you have to belive me, i've seen dragon with rabbit feet is true i swear". So far no mass production piracy mean that any copy sold is a genuine one, and a lot of casual pirate since they fail to get in "this special sites" that look like Area 51 in the end will buy the book and discover that life keep going without PDF. A loot of Indie developer in videogame industry have found that fighting casual pirate boost their sell, because people rage a lot but in the end they just they need to satisfy theyr hobby and "no free alternative" mean they pay their bucks in the end. Yes life will go on for D&D without PDF;s, just as it will for pirates. Except now the honest people who want a PDF are inconvenienced forever, while the pirates are held up for a few days.. it seems the wrong people are being punished. Surely you can see how messed up that is?
I for one am refusing to buy any more WOTC products until they do something about this mess. It is White Wolf and Rifts for me now, so i guess i won't be "paying my bucks in the end", at least not to WOTC.

I see Arcane Power posted on several torrents* and have seen it for several days, so I am not sure there is a delay.
* No I didn't download it, but was curious and searched just to see if it was out there.

* No I didn't download it, but was curious and searched just to see if it was out there. Same for me. I'm not sure where these people who claim it isn't out there are looking (other than "in the wrong places"), but it's there. It's been there for a bit now. I certainly do hope WotC does not take this as any kind of victory over piracy, and aren't as inept at searching as many on this thread seem to be. ("Duh...I lookit on Googly, but not find nuthin'...must not be up...WotC is winner!")
I haven't DLd it, either...yet. If my shipment of the physical book is delayed past the weekend, though, I have no doubt that I will.

and you didn't download it dude WTF? Believe it or not, I do TRY to do "the right thing" when I can. However, WotC has left me no alternative if I want a .pdf of AP. I will wait and be patient. If it looks like WotC keeps it's 0-policy for .pdf's, then yes, I will DL it. It's not like I can't afford it...I'd love to be able to give WotC my money, but they seem to think that those of us who enjoy .pdf's do not have worthwhile money.

AMEN BROTHER!!! I would of bought the PDF but seein as how I can't im forced to Download it illegally. or I could wait till wizards updates the online compendium and do alot of copying and pasting. Major pain in the a$$. I like to have everything organized together. I hate having to flip through 10 different books just to get the right combination of feats, powers, etc.
