Absolutely. We all have our views on what magic is and should be. I simply have been giving mine as was i. i always enjoy a good conversation like the one we're having
Feh. I threw out to possible rituals as examples of what is possible. I really wasn't meaning for them to be dissected by level, cost, etc. The point was, with magic that common, EVERY town will have people that can do rituals. i'm just saying that i believe low-level magic (especially utility stuff) shouldn't be uncommon "just because it's magic". not everyone will be able to use them anyways since it does actually require some training, maybe a handful or two of people in a small town could do it, but most normal people will take stuff like skill training or focus so they can do their job better, the people who take up magic either don't like "normal" work or believes they can help in a different way.
if the high level stuff starts being thrown around without abandon, then yes, i agree that it'll loose it's "magic". the low-level stuff not so much.

See I dont think anyone in a small town would be able to do rituals, they might have a peson who comes round every couple weeks to preform rituals, and what not but the average peeasant, or village priest probably will not, that said the characters are heroes a cut above the rest so I see no problems with letting any of them have the ritual casting feat if they want to.
