Another alternative, which I have used, is to have the PCs make little cards with their most-needed-by-DM numbers on it: AC/Fort/Ref/Will, passive perception, passive insight. A quick scan through the cards tells me if they find anything passively, and I tell them. I'll also use the cards for initiative order.

Thanks.
Different question... I've been searching trying to find out how consumables are created. From what I could find most consumables can be created using Enchant Magic Item ritual, exception made for potions which might require Brew Potions ritual (seems like not everyone agrees on this point though, but I'll go with that theory).
Is there any other type of consumables that cannot be created with Enchant Magic Item?

Sorry for the flood of questions... I've just been reading a lot of material for the first time today Regarding familiars and disable traps... Marmoset explicitly states that "A marmoset can make Thievery checks to open locks or disable traps, gaining a +2 bonus to such checks. It can manipulate thieves’ tools to gain an additional +2 bonus to such checks."On the other hand, Disembodied Hand or Rakshasa Claw say something like "A rakshasa claw can open latches and turn knobs that require only one hand to operate. It can also manipulate objects to make Thievery checks. It gains a +2 bonus to such checks."The first is very explicit, the other two (which come from a different source) are not. So I'm wondering what exactly fits in the manipulate-objects-to-make-Thievery-checks category. May these familiars disable traps? If so, can they also benefit from the bonus of thieves' tools? Thanks.

Alchemical items are created with Alchemy feat
The sea looks at the stabillity of the mountian and sighs. The mountian watches the freedom of the sea and cries.

Where would I find the Spells/Powers/Rituals/Rules for Summoning a Devil involuntarily. I have read the Demon equivalent in the Demonomicon. The summoning is for the purpose of killing a Custom made Devil our DM has been using to Plague our campaign. We want to go on the offensive. Our plan of attack is.......to attack. Thanks for any replies/guidance.

The online one does it too. Slightly different layout, I suppose, but all the same stuff.

There are no rules for physically summoning such a create so that it coudl be attacked. The only ritual hat lets you summon one for bargaining purposes is Loremaster's Bargain (lvl 22 - PHB). You could adapt something from the Summon Demon ritual, but note that this ritual only creates a manifestation of the demon/devil which cannot be attacked. It could choose to appear physically, especially if you fail the skill challenge, but it is not required to do so. Basically you're getting into houserule territory for something the DM Would have to create (possible quest hook?) or you might find it simpler to instead travel to the nine hells and kill your enemy there.
