Question about genasi magmasoul:
Magmasoul: You have a +1 racial bonus to Fortitude. Whenever you take fire damage, your melee attacks deal 1d6 extra fire damage until the end of your next turn. In addition, you have the flowing magma power.
If i take 5 times fire damage, do my melee attacks deal 5d6 additional fire damage until the end of my next turn?
It doesn't say it does that, so it doesn't do that. Rules do what they say and nothing more.
Except for when something that provides a bonus explicitly states that it stacks with itself (such as a star pact warlock's boon), bonuses from the same source never stack.

Except you inserted the word "bonus." The word bonus isn't actually there, so the bonus rules don't apply.

Id say yes, since they are seperate instances of fire damage.

I'd also say yes. After looking at it several times the wording states "whenever you take fire damage". Five creatures hit you with fire damage- that's 5 seperate instances of damage all of which would add 1d6 per instance.
That's how I read it anyways.

So what happens, when i'm a magma soul wizard and use Nusemnee's atonement to transfer fire damage i would've dealt to 5 allies? It's like the volcano is about to errupt, right?

Well, I think the damage would have to exceed the resistance you gain from Nusemnee's Atonement, otherwise you take 0 damage, which means none. Plus wizards don't usually have a lot of melee attacks.
Either way, its starting to enter Bag of Rats territory and I as DM I would probably add a restriction that the fire damage as to be from a source other than you (and possibly other than an ally as well).

Eh, 5d6 is pretty meh. It always surprises me how many people miss that some of the highest damage builds in the game don't even roll for damage, it is all statics. A Ranger's damage is less than 10% from the actual die past Heroic.
So yeah, you'd roll an extra 5d6, no you wouldn't be close to the damage level of a volcano.

True, however a magma genasi melee ranger hybrid wizard who alternates fire bursts and melee attacks could do some damage, though he has the problem of splitting feats, weapons, implements...

I've tried this before. It's tough to get it to go anywhere. I've also played around with the Breach Warden PP for similar shenanigans, and again found it hard to pull off. Gets pulled in too many different directions at once.
I am okay with you saying my argument is stupid, or commits the munchkin fallacy, or any other bad thing you want. Particularly if you give a reason/explanation for it.
However, I will ignore any post that calls me stupid, or a munchkin, or what have you. Not because it bothers me; I've just found that people only start name-calling when that's the best argument they have left.

hybrids and multiclass powerswapping. level 8 character. e1 from hybridA, e3 from hybridB, e7 from hybridA. can I powerswap my e3 for a power from my MC class? or am I forced to retrain my e1 or e7 to a power from hybridB before i can powerswap out my e3?
or level 10 character. u2 is a skill power, u6 is also a skill power, u10 is a third skill power. can I powerswap my u2 for a power from my MC class? does this support or contradict the above, and how?
